  • I really don't know, why Queluz is named "The Portuguese Versailles"! It's a wonderful place, but it was conceived for completely different purposes, than Versailles! Quelu was built more as a countryside residence, eventually becoming the King's official residence, after the big fire of the Royal Palace of Ajuda, in 1794! Versailles was intended as to be the "core" of centralisation and power! Queluz never! The size is intendedly much smaller, because it was supposed to be a cosy place!

  • Thanks for the video. I was there a few years ago. My sister's father in law lived nearby. You could see the palace from his apartment.

  • I've been there in Portugal and I really love to stay.

Check out my traveling videos and you can ask me about my traveling.

    Thank you :-)

  • magnificent!

  • Video esta espectacular.

Gostava de saber quem o realizou.

Ha um dado importante que ouca gente sabe, A entrada do Palacio não é a que vemos agora, ai era as traseiras

  • The video is great. But i wonder: have you ever visited the palace? The "throne room" is actually the Ambassador's Room. The "ball room" is the real Throne Room! Next time pay more attention to the information of the palace's room!

  • Excellent video.

Went there a couple times in early70,s

and have very found memories of Queluz .

  • Congrats, the video was beautifully done! I have a picture of the Queluz Palace on my laptop's desktop but at that time the outside walls of the building were painted in blue :)

  • Nice video. Good image and good music. Some confusion on the sequence of the images though. And that is not the Trones room, it is the Ambassadors room. By the way Catarina, the live performers are in portuguese language. Good job well done!

  • hey

    you've done a great video ;)

I'm from Portugal, I live in Queluz near the palace...

    I hope you've enjoyed the visit =)

I have ben there many times and they are always improving... I'm curious, have you seen any representation of the life in the palace?? I don't know if it's done in english but it would be very fun to watch!!

    Bye Michel

    Best Regards: Catarina
