I don't really want to give anything too big away, but he did die, but they're making a 4rth season now, so I think you can pretty much assume he got revived again. That's the reason the video ended where it ended, because after the tears the flower begins glowing again, and Louise and Saito see each other again.

@YariAkuiNoMizu I agree. There should've been Misuzu from Air TV, Makoto from Kanon 2002 / 2006, Nagisa from CLANNAD (my #1 saddest choice,) or the whole Angel Beats! group. But Still, this list is pretty good. Though he didn't actually die, this one from Zero No Tsukaima almost made me cry.

@tojapa Agreed: that was a sad one -yet strangely not as tragic as most, since after all she chose that ending from the very beginning of her relationship with that awesomely cute demon whose name i can't recall. They both did what it took to defeat the villian of the story, whose aim was after all, to do the "Kill all humans" thing - and they were completely victorious, even though she used up all her life-energy in the process. But still, i cried too.. maybe not for "weeks", tho :)

@tojapa Yes i have. but they died happily next to each other. This one is the saddest because of how well they made it. the glow of the army charging their fire only added to it. From the desperate fight saito vs a massive army and slipping luise the sleep potion to save her and commit the ultimate sacrifice. to the sword crying out for his partner. to the ultimate bitch sister and lastly to luise begging for saito to return. It isn't dramatic its well done in every way possible to me.

Ok, so the episode after shows Saito coming back all alive and well. However in the novel versions Louise and Seista went to Albion to search for him, this is one part of the anime that pissed me off because the story was soo much more in depth after he died (Louise went to commit suicide before Siesta stopped her).

When they found him it was cool too, no more spoils though. If you want a link to the novel message me.

It Doesn't show a lot of his fight, wish they did. Hey took care of there army in the city and took out a lot on the way to the battle filled, that's why he was tried at the beginning. Then with is first swing, he blew away a lot around him. He then took on a Gigantic troll, and blocked a storm of arrows. The fight seen was jumping around his hole fight.

The reason he "saved everyone" was because he held off the enemy army long enough for everyone to evacuate.

i still think code geass's death is the most dramatic. I mean, he's killed by his best friend, who planned with him to kill him. everybody in the world hates him, and hes doing it for his sister. he dies right in front of his sister, who cries really awfully which makes you cry too. everybody thinks hes a phsycopath (excuse me if I spelled that wrong) or they think hes really crazy. . . . and all for his sister!!!!
