Boreale is hated amongst Space Marines cause when he says SPESS and MAHRENS, truth is he didnt die on Kaurava, he was executed by the chaplain after his stronghold for heresy... ie bad grammar
In the end of the Retribution campaign played by the Space Marines Gabriel gets to destroy the Daemon he released in dow1 and is promoted to chapter master.
He also kindoff loses his legs, eye and some skin on his face tough. Teach em to wear a helmet.
@Wildcat425B bear in mind he took the battered and broken remnants of those blood ravens that were still untouched by Kyras (probably around a couple hundred marines) straight into the demon's nest, who was supported by thousands and thousands of chaos marines, daemons, and war machines. I'm amazed he even made it to melee combat with Kyras in those odds. When you play the sequence again, notice the hordes of daemons constantly swarming him while he tries to crack at Kyras.
davian isnt my favorite but he just lacks.... strength if you know what i mean. On the other hand Gabriel is everything davian inst. He is the best commander of all Dow games.
I have a feeling that after the events of Dawn of War 2 CR - Gabriel will eventualy become the new Chapter Master of the Blood Ravens ;o he should, too.. that Apollo dude is a jackass - and while Thule could arguably be considered worthy as well.. he's sort of incapacitated in that regard now ;p
@coreqek after DOW2 Retrebution, i bet that the force commander will become First Captain. Although, maybe he won't but being 4th company captain is good too right?
@coreqek I think he might too, in one of the White Dwarfs(warhammer magazine) it calls him a chapter master, spoiler prehaps? I hope he does anyway, if you have read the books I think you'll agree he desevres it.
