Ok for some of you that are like 1st call 911 Call 911 is right... but you would need to start CPR first ... your wrong.... im a EMT-I and first start CPR for an adult its 30:2 for 5 cycles or for 2 Minutes..... then for the five cycles. if the patient has no pulse get an AED stick the Electrodes to the body then turn the AED on... If you use it right it could be a lifesaver.... and they did shock M.J. not like just then but EMS did...
Coz they don't have AED at MJ. house that's why......... If you witness an unconscious patient. 1st thing, call 911. 2nd get and AED and follow the instructions.
no sorry im a ALS unit and you do not call 911 right away and you do not need a aed unless they are in cardiac arrest or having a heart attack....first you should do primary to see what you are dealing with
its your choice Your Life or your own death, AEDs can not be overridden and will only shock a shockable rhythm, i am trained on Lifepack 500s and qualified in May 1997 and one day my training could save a life
I'd like to see the worlds first AED that doesn't require the rescuer to tear open a package. I can barely get a bag of chips open let alone get open a package like that during an emergency.

Coz it was really needed... You don't do defibrillation every time someone is unconcisious. Read something about it and stop crying. He's dead.

Its a slghtly older machine. It still advises a 15:2 compression to breath ratio.

When you are in such an emergency like a cardiac arrest, EVERY SECOND not MINUET, (SECOND), counts.
You don't have time to unbutton a shirt, untuck it, etc.
You have to get the shirt off ASAP.
A minute later, and the patient will be brain dead, if you don't Get treatment ASAP.

@1992peter One of my friends went into cardiac arrest and died :'( She had a heart condition that no one knew about until her death :'(

you should do a training, it's a very good idea. the protocol is really simple and with a good knowledge you could save a life.
