This is actually the most memorable brickfilm I have ever seen. It was remarkable in almost every aspect, I can't even describe how much I enjoyed this, it was just amazing. Very clean animation, a simple, yet extroardinarily well-created film... I would really like to see more films set in the era of Vikings, Bulldog, great job! :)
should of also got the viking god thor and instead of odin doing the lighting thing, thor does it. do ya research! (or im to lazy to do all of mine and odin is part thundergod)
"a militia...i'd never thought of that...what if we all die?" funny video...well made, great sets, figs and story. you might like my viking vid...it needs more views so i post it here with yours.
I think its clay or plasticine, and the woman was made trnasparent with a program called BaFran, there's this option to either mask ot make the object transparent. and I think odin was greenscreened.
then your teacher is wrong about that because the archeologists has'nt found any helmets with horns and i live in sweden so i probably know a little more about vikings than you
Love the creativity and effort! In future you'ld do well to seek additional voice talent. I've added this to my favorites and thank you for posting the vid to YouTube...:)
Bakas, there were PLENTY of Swedish vikings! However, most of their efforts were directed eastward along the Baltic and into what we now call Russia. The Norwegians pillaged west and south, where many eventually carved out fiefdoms. The Danes generally struck west with the intention of settlement as well as plunder. End of history lesson...:)
Yo! Jason, i've read on your website that this was going to have mouth animation like in the trailer. Since your coumputer crashed down why didn't you remember to do a specal edition of it with the mouth animation? you should do that now.
I'm not really satisfied with the title, which seems to suggest a film with a larger battle. If I made the film now, I'd probably call it something more fitting, like "Quelf"
Benjimonji, did you put the frames together in an editing program (such as photoshop or the gimp), and change the opacity of the frames WITH the ghost figure, so he's transparent? It works for me.

Cool!!

NaDubhGaill 4 years ago
I'm not really satisfied with the title, which seems to suggest a film with a larger battle. If I made the film now, I'd probably call it something more fitting, like "Quelf"
CaptainBulldog 4 years ago
You shoulda won that competition!!!
Deadly animation!
NaDubhGaill 4 years ago
I read that you took one frame with, then one without...Ect to make the ghost effect.
I tried but it didn't work. So how many fps did you use?
benjimonji 4 years ago
Benjimonji, did you put the frames together in an editing program (such as photoshop or the gimp), and change the opacity of the frames WITH the ghost figure, so he's transparent? It works for me.
The fps I always use is 15 frames-per-second. I started out doing 10fps, but all of my films uploaded on YouTube are 15fps.
CaptainBulldog 4 years ago
Relay cool! But how'd you make those swords?
benjimonji 4 years ago
I bought the swords. They're from some Mega Bloks dragon sets.
CaptainBulldog 4 years ago
That was a good tale. A great twist. But how did you do the Ghost?
MaxButcher 4 years ago
Making a ghost effect is simple; for every frame that the minifigure is in, you take a frame without the minifig, and then put them together and change the opacity of the frames with the minifig, so you can see slightly through him.
CaptainBulldog 4 years ago
Thanks, just a Question, what software did you use to do all of that technical but very cool stuff.
MaxButcher 4 years ago
The program I use to do most of my effects is called 'The Gimp.' I used another program called 'Axogon Composer' to do the lightning.
