You are lucky it seems for 2011. Here in Ny it was nuts wet and soggy all spring. Things where planted way late so late insurance claims came into the picture for corn and beans. Yeilds where decent for the year but it wasn't nearly the good of the year as we had last year. Heres to hoping for a good 2012, we may need it.
our harvest was good except for at the last when the wind came up and blew for 4 days. the last two days, day and night around 60 mph we have 40 to 50 bu per acre on the ground w/ stalk still standing not alot you can do about that. kinda disappointing with this good of price.
Another great video, thanks. Do you harvest high moisture corn too? If so, how do you store it? We always had it in Harvestore's but I know times have changed and you've got a very large operation now.
We had a great weather year so far too. just right in the rain department and a nice long autumn with lots of color late into the fall. Never better. I really enjoyed watching your video and your commentary. Thank you very much!
Great video!!! Except for the red equipment... haha Average moisture in northern Illinois started around 30% ended around 17%. Excellent yields also. Was a fun harvest
@therealfarmgirl Not at first, but it will so stick in there. Try to put a good video up everyweek or at least every two. The more content you put up the more veiws, = more money. But don't do it just for the moeny, you have to love what you are doing. Remember the more videos you have online the more views per day you will get. There are some people that put a video a day up for that reason, but I don't have that kind of time to put a good video up.
Like a video that you put up before, Yes. This is the good life! that was beautiful with the grain cart and the combine working in the distance. Plus then the sun set. Cool that you got your Grandpa still around to see this all going on. Double thumbs up again Laura.
As you say, IS LIFE!
I love harvest, whenever I have holidays I usually go to help my cousins.
The tranquility in the village, dealing with people, no noise only makes the combine.
I live in a city and there is only noise.
Great job! Sorry my English isn't very good
Nice to meet you and greetings from Spain.
Kisses!
