I have read all the books, and although Bella is extremely fond of Jacob, I think she was just trying to get over Edward. I don't think she meant to have Jacob as a rebound, but it just became so easy to build upon their friendship even more when he was all she had to feel good about. Jacob's friendship felt good and safe to her, so it made it so much easier for her to work through the pain of loosing Edward.

I don't think that Bella ever actually loves Jacob in a romantic way. I think that she does love him, but I always get the feeling that it is more as a BFF or brother. ok, SM put on her website about a year ago that bella DOES fall in love w/jake in NM. however, bella is 18 and does not realize she can be in love w/ two people. so therefore, she denies her emotions toward jacob eventually in eclipse she will finally realize that she loves him. now, with that said the same time she finally admits to being in love with him she also realizes that she still does not love him enough as edward. yes, she falls in love with jacob but its not enough. so stop denying it

I have read all the books, and although Bella is extremely fond of Jacob, I think she was just trying to get over Edward. I don't think she meant to have Jacob as a rebound, but it just became so easy to build upon their friendship even more when he was all she had to feel good about. Jacob's friendship felt good and safe to her, so it made it so much easier for her to work through the pain of loosing Edward.

well to people who have read the book, you know that she loves jake but ONLY AS A BROTHER!! Every1 knows that jacob loves bella, but bella is still deeply in love with edward. if she wasnt still in love with him, would bella be still feeling pain from edwards leaving??? I think that toward the end before they have to save Edward that she is thinking of him in a romantic way. But then in Eclipse he goes back to the bff. Then in the end of Eclipse she realizes she is in love with him, but not enough to change how she feels about Edward. She loves him, but she love Edward more. :)

I don't think that Bella ever actually loves Jacob in a romantic way. I think that she does love him, but I always get the feeling that it is more as a BFF or brother. I think she becomes confused, wondering if it might possibly be more than that, and considering how Jacob behaves in future I can understand the confusion. But I don't think she's ever IN love with him.

Yeah clevvertv needs to get chapter 9 posted cause there's 24 chapters and then there's the epilogue. Chapter 9 is titled:"third wheel" lol when they go to the theater and then mike throws up into the popcorn bucket when they leave..that's the last time jacob's hair is long too..or human.
