First off... The quality of this video is not good... You also cut almost a whole minute from it. You cut the party of the video where his mother rides her bike off right before the storm... So it was comparing the loss of his mother to sara...........

The vocalist is not trying to push anything at you, no bad attitude, or angry feelings, just passionately telling a story, it feels so neutral, as today's music has too much attitude, and pomposity. The vocalist and listener are all equals in the music of this era, today you feel separate from the performer, as if they have to wow you with something about them that is different for you....another reason for the success of 80's music.

Something amazing about the sounds of the 80s, the perfect blend of warm sounding synth with the right amount of real intsruments too. Always gives someone room to let the mind wander a little. Sometimes still I wish I was younger when I was hearing these sounds on the radio growing up as a kid. The radio today for me gets extremely annoying very quickly. Lucky we can always choose what we want to listen to and I choose not the radio!!!

It's especially hurtful because Mickey inherited the house from his family and was living in it with Sara, the lovely blonde. No time is a good time for goodbye and no time is a good time for a tornado.

Great song!! It brings back memories of my Junior and Senior years, 85-87, of high school in Heidelberg, Germany (I was an Army Brat growing up).

My high school sweetheart's name was Sarah. In August 1988, she passed away after a traffic accident in Germany. This song brings many memories of the times we spent together during the two years I knew her. My baby sister also loved this song.

@majogani ..Its basically about a break-up. "no time is a good time for goodbyes" Pretty simple. As for the video, he obviously has a fight with his honey and she leaves angry. He thinks back to his childhood and how his mother came and then she left. While she was gone the tornado came and apparently it killed her. Fighting with the GF made him think about his mother leaving and her being killed. So, when the Gf leaves, he fears the same fate for her. Then the clouds roll in at the end...
