  • I still like HTC better than Icrap

  • HTC HD3? when?

  • you shold add task manager on you home screen after using you should end all tasks then you phone will become faster

  • I have mine for over a month now and I honestly LOVE this phone. Despite all the "windows" bashing from a few iphone lovers, my HD2 has been great in many ways. I just wish that Windows had the WMP a bit more updated. Other than that, I definitely recommend an HD2 over an Iphone anytime! By the way procyonuk , your review is very accurate, thanks for posting it! Greetings from USA!

  • Within days you can see how shitty the phone really is. That following night you can try to imagine how wonderful your life would have been if you had an iPhone charging on the nightstand next to you. Just remember, don't think about that too much, you don't want to cry too hard. Go suck a dick

  • Dude reminds me of the joker

  • excellent review. i'm trying to decide between the hd2 and the new iphone 4. can you do a comparison between those two phones? the one thing i'm already totally annoyed with about the iphone 4, without even owning it yet, is that RIDICULOUS problem of the phone's antenna being the actual outside border of the phone and losing reception simply by being held in the hand. that is absurd almost to the point of being a joke. but a comparison would still be nice :)

  • @youcandance12345 I'm buying one today for that very purpose. Sub me and you'll get an HD2 vs iPhone 4 comparison very very shortly. Glad to be of service!

  • hows the music on the phone ^^?

  • @xBEN95 What the hell does that matter? This is a video about cellphones. You're 15 years old and love Justin Bieber...........you hardly should be making comments to anybody about anything.

  • a few things you missed on your review, the ability to download files off of web pages is amazing on the HTC, while on the iphone you can only do it if your phone is jailborken and navigating to find your downloaded files is a nightmare

  • great review! Very helpful!!

  • i-phone is too in the garden unless jailbreaked, apps run on the processor and eats ram too much than just running off the rom or mem card like the wonderful winmobiles can do and you can also mem shift for more storage of more processes!

  • great video bro, i wish people would just say thanks to you that you were bothered to post up a video about the htc hd2, to be honest, theres loads of other older winmo 5.0 mobiles better than the i-phone, the i-phone is what every novice touchscreen phone user goes for, i'm a winmo buyer for years and as much as using fingers is fast and snazzy, i dnt mind the scientist approach by using the screen pen or voice to text apps windows mobile has available!

  • wow who gives a fvck about gay ass twitter and gay ass facebook theyre only for no life fagz that like to keep track of other fagz

  • I have had both iPhone 3gs and htc HD 2 ... And I think the htc is a total Iphone killer ! Love the htc hd2 .. Sure it has it's problems .. But it's just awesome !! The screen is just amazing love it ..!! With this phone u font need a tv lol u got one in ur pocket ! Htc hd2 is better then the iPhone in so many ways my personal opinion ...

  • I can live with that delay but somtimes on the iphone 3gs it just doesn't move i have to friken shake it to go my way.

  • holy shit wata good reviewer. no i mean it, its awsm that ur doing a review after a few days, once uve gotten used to all the little annoying bits (or the really big ones). BTW procyouk, how does the htc fare against the iphone when it comes to video viewing? i love my movies and i have to have them on my iphone. but then it makes my iphone lag and crash heaps...so yeah. also do movies look as good or better/worse than the iphone? Music playback (again in comparison to the iphone)?

  • hahaha u shouldve waited for the iphone hd faster processor hd screen waaay better apps. i chat, multitasking, faster processor running unix so it'll be the same amount as this but run much faster becasue it is unix.. youve wasted your money. Apple is still the best and will always be as long as steve jobs is alive

  • how is a loud volume with the ability to turn it down a bad point?

  • htc only has 65k screen and iphone has 16m. Films look much better on the iphone and playing music on full charge htc will last 12hrs and iphone lasts 30h. It's a no brainer for me in my opinion. If you have had your iphone for a year and it's slowing down just restore it and it will be fine :-) BUT the biggest difference is iphones hold 80% of their value over a year but htc only hold 48%. Come on guy's it's a simple choice. If you already have an HTC then don't be crying about it :-p

  • dude shut up. all you care about is looks which is why you have the iPhone.

  • Windows 6.5 LOL way to go HTC. Yall should stick to android. Also WEB OS from Palm is an amazing operating system as well. PALM Pre and Pixi are great phones. sorry but Windows marketplace SUCKS! and also windows mobile is very glitchy in the long run. The HD2 Looks nice aesthetically but the software is terrible and runs on windows mobile operating system.

  • can you make your own ring tones on that phone? and you can type in landscape for texts and emails right??

  • Well done! I appreciate your honesty and great side by side comparison. I just bought one over the phone. Have not seen it yet, but had heard so many good things about it. I am a blackberry owner and had an Apple I-touch companion. I am so impressed with the Htc 2D with what I have seen from your

    Videos. Thanks!

  • @HCeballos1 I AGREE FREEZES UP FREQUENTLY...BUT SWYPE IS COOL....

  • The facebook app on the iPhone is really really buggy jsyk

  • Camera and video are shit? Have u used it in anger? Videos look great on my Samsung LED in full screen and it takes better photo's than my Camera. I have to disagree with you. It's the best all-in-one device I have ever owned. Kicks the competition right up the arse.

  • How is the HTC Email feature as compared to the iPhone... I love how we can we set up Pop and SMTP email easily in the iPhone... does it all work well with the HTC HD2 over wifi (and not any data plans or whatever) ?

  • @jocreative in the HTC to set up you email, its really easy, you dont even have to deal with Pop and SMTP, all it ask is your email address and the phone does the rest to set it up. and it works for multiple email adresses

  • i want to flash android on mine...

  • But what about CALL quality? Can you hear the caller well, do you sound clear when talking on it??? I mean really, ultimately that's what I need MOST in a phone... but thanks for the update.

  • call quality varies on mine ive had calls cut off and people phoned accidentally. i need to decide whether i will keep or wait for a better phone with a nice keyboard more RAM and a screen that doesnt get dirty instantly!

  • @pinklady185 i've used both the phone with and without a headset, and i haven't encounter any problems while talking in it. receivers sounds clearly and no one has told me "i'm breaking up"

  • u work for htc?? ı really dont know but ı ll buy one :)htc hd2 ewerybody has ıphone here ı get used to ıt ı want new one htc hd2 ı hope ıts better than ıhone :))

  • faggit,

i will get this phone soon when it comes out for T-mobile

  • To be honest I dont know why HTC doesnt make their own OS instead of using windows mobile because it does crash quite often and it will get annoying. I hated windows mobile on the touch pro 2. I want this one but will consider real hard beofre buying. They should using and OS like Nokia did with the N900.

  • Exactly i dont get that HTC is the best handset company out there and they dont have there own os? they should learn from apple they make the hardware and software so should HTC -___- i get u dont wanna put android but atleast win 7!!!!!!!!!!

  • as for me HD2 isnt anything special, i love the homescreen and the weather and the cool GPS apps, but everything else like cold windows is crapy, ive used windows mobile, the apps are very not friendly, dont have any design and lag.. it can be good for movies, internet, social networking, but a big nono to gaming, first of all there is no games that support such resolution, and even if there is, their quality is shity and way not as the ones on iphone.. so idk maybe its good maybe not, ill wait

  • download skyfire and that will solve your facebook and internet problems for any windows phone

  • What excactly is Skyfire, and what does it solve??

  • @Lorrat skyfire is a browser for windows mobile that supports flash. so you can just use the internet like any computer. e.g watch youtube vids in the browser without an app.

  • @tsunagami I found out, but thanks! =)

  • I hate Iphone and appele! MICROSOFT forever!

  • well hey lol, after all those bad points and you still went for the htc hd2 over the iphone . good call as the htc rocks

  • Oii u again, i dont get it, wich one do u like the best ???

  • I found this video really good ^_^

Also, you're very cute hehe =]

  • Very nice vid ... i totally like the way yo talk sir .

    Thanks .

  • Make up? No.. just have fairly decent complexion, and inherited very thick eyelashes that make me look like I'm wearing mascara, lol.

As for eyebrow plucking, I have very shapely ones naturally, only bit I pluck is the middle so I don't get a monobrow!

I seem to get these questions a lot on my vids lol.

  • Having had many smart phones I find that if after some time of ownership they start to lag and crash on you..treat it like a computer..back up files you want to keep..format..and boom..like new..also smart phones that can have new batteries put in helps a lot also..That's one thing I don't like about the Iphone..that built in battery that will start to die...can't be replaced.. I've had my eye on the HTC line for some time..I'm not due for an upgrade til October..so i dunno what i want yet

  • lol HD2 overruled the IPhone for sure.. Some costum ROM's to install and it's much faster and smoother. Some tweaks for the cam, internet, battery etc. and it's even more better.. try to defeat this HD2..

  • woah. I never realized how much faster the 3gs is.

  • I never used full volume on any phone in my life so far.

  • LOL! You're a comical chap. Love your style of presentation - 'street style'......

I'm currently mulling over swapping my Omnia HD (which I might add, I'm quite happy with atm...) for something 'newer' as I'm a bit of a 'Mr Gadget' type....

    I'm anti-iphone (over-priced) so the HD2 looks a good alternative....waddya reckon between the Omnia v HD2??

  • can't say I know the omnia more than.what it looks like.. give the hd2 a go, sure!

  • @songmaster143 try the nexus one

  • if the firmware update of the hd2 comes then go for the hd2 coz the stock firmware have tons of bugs. stick to your omia hd because its still improving! and i mean a lot.

  • you need BsB twaek it wiil fix the tapin small links and will let you add pinch to zomm on every apllication like Skyfire, markete place, every where on the phone were there is text and rotate 2 and will fix the lag etc etc

  • LOL you really are a perfectionist, the lag with the opera browser going into landscape was less than a second. i really dont care

  • Comment removed

  • Peep on my android device is very nice. :D

  • available in canada?

  • lol you're funny

  • Like your first video I would have thought that preperation was key!.

@Juicyroom If you have had your mind made up by amuteur then you really do fall into the iphone cachement.

Procyonuk, whilst I agree that opinions are like A-holes ie. everyones got one....Can I ask did you do any research before buying the HD2?.

Stop trying to compare apples and oranges and lose the apple love.

  • don't think it's fair u compare them both regarding the lagging. maybe you should wait 17 months then see how much the new phone lags :)

  • Hi my O2 contract is about to end so was thinking of buying this HDC HD2.

Question about battery life is this? How long do you manage to get on a full charge as I have read many varying ideas about battery longevity is it as bad as they say or is it actually quite good meanung charge it each day?

    Any advice would be appreciated..

    Thanks. xx

  • Most of the issues named here are fixed (cam & sms hotfix), or explainable/tweakable, for example the opera, you need to hold the link for a while (a protection so you dont click a link while zooming)

Like most wimo devices it needs some tweaking, see apps like BsB Tweaks on XDA for easy tweaking

If your a wimo user now, get this phone, the hardware is great, and trough newer/cooked roms and whatnot its already pushed to greater performance & usability

  • So if you would upgrade today, would you still choose the HD2 or would you go for the 3GS?

You can get "pinch to zoom" with some tweaks n mods in all applications. forum(dot)xda-developers(dot)com

I have a hard time making the choice... or... should I wait for the Nexus 1? *argh*

  • Very intuitive video although I'd rather see a comparison between the newer version of iPhone (3GS) Vs the HTC HD2. Chances are that as you mentioned earlier newer firmware upgrades will solve the minor bugs & issues. Cheers m8

  • thanks i was thinking about getting it but never mind

  • Nobody seems to be mentioning how well the HTC performs as an mp3 player. That's what atracts me most to the iphone, using itunes with it.

  • Thanks for the follow up review. I started and stopped my PDA experience with the MDA. Even with that older WinMo, there were plenty of ways to speed it up and enhance apps, although most were user created. I was wondering if you had thought about the possibilities that a Virtual Desktop may offer you with WinMo and your desktop PC.

  • What a lot of people don't really realize is that. HTC HD2 supports Skyfire and iphone doesn't ! Thats one big drawback with the iphone at the moment. Skyfire is the most advanced mobile broswer which support very rich features such as youtube videos and embedded videos too. so you can always make a quick link to facebook / twitter actual website and get the full scoop. Its doable with this massive screen.

  • nokia n900 has an more advanced browser

  • Thank you for the videos.

Ordered my HD2 about a month ago, i can't wait anymore. Takes too looong, god damn christmas times, lol. Have a good day! =D Think i'll subscribe too, hoping for more htc hd2 videos!

  • Great review but...i'm seeing people comparing this to an iphone and thats great since im ending my iphone contract next month and looking at this badass, however people are saying the apps suck and still comparing those to iphone's too, just think back to when facebook, tweet and the generall iphone os's first came out, in my oppinion they sucked even worse, im sure htc and windows marketplace will make these just as good as the iphone apps soon enough and i cant wait

  • Yeah I compared it to the iPhone as that's the phone I've just had.. haha.

The apps on WinMo are indeed pretty much basic and few and far between, but the WinMo Marketplace has actually been around for a good while and not a right lot has been added to it.

It'll all come with time, I just hope that when they release Windows Mobile 7, that the HD2 will be upgradable to it, rather than being stuck in 6.5 purgatory.

  • Hi there, lovin the vids regarding these two phones, very informative. I've done the same thing pretty much and took the dive into the HD2 but I'm going SPARE trying to figure out how to get my contacts over to the HD2! got them in Windows Contacts but I can't seem to figure out how to get them onto the device, can you tell me how you did it please?

  • Are they saved on your phone or on the SIM? If they're on the SIM all you need do is go into "People", select "Menu" and then use 'Import SIM Contacts' and they'll all get loaded onto your phone. At least they did for me!

At least I recall that's how I did it.. hmmm

  • solution for lag encountered:

go to task manager and stop other running application in the background that you are not using.

  • Already doing that matey. It's a rather irritating thing to have to keep doing as well, would be nice to have an option to fully exit from an app rather than backgrounding it.

The lag is just software being a bit arse.

  • @procyonuk pretty sure i saw an app to do this well for you. can't remember where or what it was called sorry.

i don't have the phone yet so can't check either.

  • The phone has just come out fella, its guna have lag, wait til it gets updates and see what it is like, i bet when its as old as your iphone it won't be as laggy as the iphone.

How can you compare it with the iphone, the phone is 17months old as you say and its had numerous updates and its still not performing as it should, (you said its a liablilty lol).

    Not bad reviews tho m8.

  • i get mine tomorrow

  • two days later then, how you finding it?

  • would it not be better to go on the facebook website? instead of using an app?

  • This shouldn't have to be something to consider though. On the iPhone, the Facebook app is so perfect and complete you never need to access it on the net. On the HTC, it is very basic and mostly annoying, and so yes, the net becomes an attractive option. Which is a shame.

  • I really like your review of the phone. Seems like you were fair and had a lot of good and not so good things to say.

Also, you're quite the dresser. :p

  • this phone is still better than the iphone. im going to buy one now

  • cant wait to get mine
