  • I'm so glad that people have put these old bootlegs up on YouTube! (you've answered my prayers!)

  • Wow... I've never seen a historic DM video like this one... A real jewel

  • The deteriorated tape makes this 100 times cooler, as it was already awesome to begin with. Too bad this song wasn't on speak n spell, it should have been.

  • Liverpool ’81...if you search for Photographic, you’ll see a an almost perfect video quality. There used to be a great quality one for Tora Tora Tora, but I cannot find it anymore. Can anyone pls upload the whole best quality vid for this concert. Thank-you. I’m only interested in quality video, not solely audio as I already have this on bootleg. oops.

  • 30 LAT MINELO..... A ONI SA DALEJ NIEPOWTARZALNI!! KOCHAM ICH!!!

  • wow. the deteriorated video adds to the effect.

    Simply inspirational. great great track.

  • i like as a official video doñia?

  • super. I absolutely agree with davidsan 01. It has a very modern appeal.

  • television set ... many new fans dont know this song and other like photographic.

At the stadium of Rome on 2006 few person know it.

  • @persiavenus This is for the vintage fans like us. ;-)

  • @sastal yeah that's right i'm '70 and i was growing with DM

  • A real shame this was never released. Is there a studio version lying around? Surely Vince must have recorded one!

  • would love to have seen them live with vince clarke still in their line up. maybe in the future they could do their original songs using the old analog kit, along with vince clark at the helm. now that i would not miss!

  • major sweetness the sound is awesome thanks :)

  • pure history. thank u for sharing.

  • thanks

  • esto es una joya...es lo MAXIMO!!!!!!!!

  • Nice too watch !

  • It's a Vince Clarke's friend's creation I think. That's probably why it's not on the album.

  • The old French Connection and Composition of Sound tracks also.

  • With the 2006 remaster of Speak & Spell, surely there was a half-decent master tape of this somewhere, to stick on as bonus material? This track is too good to remain absent from the DM back catalogue.

  • Großartig! DM forever!

  • awesome...

  • I actually think the deteriation of the video suits the song adding to it's charm and also it's appeal. You would think it was deleberate, what does everyone else think?

  • @davidsan01 Corbin could not have done it better!

  • @davidsan01 Totally agree

  • Will someone please tell me, WHY THE HELL WAS THIS SONG NOT RELEASED EITHER AS A SINGLE OR ON AN ALBUM? classic early DM.

  • The song was written by some friends of one of DM members and they never actually got the whole copyright thing settled. They stopped playing the song live and never recorded it.

  • Wow, this is what i call rare footage, and DM performs great as usual, it doesn't matter that with the Clarke style

  • DM should release all their "Composition of Sound" tracks. :)

  • this is from the same tv performance as the other "photographic" video, but i cant seem to find the video of "tora tora tora" from this performance. anyone know where it is?

  • Great song! It's a shame that they never released it in Speak & Spell.

  • sorry, "it would have sounded", yikes! I messed up my spelling..

  • Actually "The Price of Love" is awesome..in my opinion, sounds good to the ear and it's very catchy..but somehow I still don't know why they didn't add it to Speak & Spell? I would have sound awesome in that LP.

  • --I love this song. This is the first and only video I have seen of this song. Did this ever show up as a single, or what? Hearing this song, I wish they had added "Television Set" to the "Speak and Spell" album, and taken off "What's Your Name". Damaged video or not, this is awesome. Thanks for adding it.

  • Haha yes! I don't mind "No Disco".....but "What's Your Name" is just alittle too ugh lol...even the boys say that.

  • This one and Price of Love are very different!

  • I much prefer "What's Your Name?", actually. I know the band does not like it. However, I find "No Disco" to be the dreadful tune: "Move me disco...baby don't you let go. This is no disco..." Yuk!

  • This is class........

  • Thanks a million for this ulra-rare gem.

  • tresure!!!!!! thank u so much

  • Fantastic! This early song is much stronger than many on their first album (Speak & Spell)

    Thanks for posting it.

  • I completely agree. Take "No Disco" out and put this one in.
