  • I love this clip! Thank you for posting!!!

  • So, its like masturbation without the climax.

  • Tanks for uploading this!! Very helpful to me right now!! Peace

  • Is this gentlemen related to the poisoned Krishna leader, whose name I cannot recall, but it's something like Patuphtpa? (Sorry!)

He looks like a younger version and his voice is similar too!

  • Self-knowledge is the method. Or mind fullness. Yoga is Universal, all is yoga.

Om, Shantih dear Guruji always in my heart.

  • Guruji, you always will be in hearts of your students!

  • You can take practice. Don't Talk!

Yes! Thanks again for everything Guruji.

  • Good bye Guruji, well make you live forever through your Teaching, which was a gift for us, in the West. Thank you Pattabhi. Big Soul !

Your Spirit & your Teaching will continue to inspire our practice, our spirit, our life. Thank you dear Guruji for being such an inspiration to us. Always in my heart Guruji !Peaceful passing in your next life

  • RIP Guruji

  • Deeply feeling the loss, such a wonderful man, such a revolutionary method. Om prem

  • As someone who has only begun his journey with yoga, I am "envious" of those who have been touched and shaped by Guruji. But there is no place for envy in yoga. Through our practise can we express our gratitude for what he's given to all of us.

  • RIP my dear teacher

  • I really love Ashtanga Yoga, it is great to get the mind calm and clean the body.

  • Yoga is universal. Do your practise and all is coming.

My teacher said to me: " Do things that feel good, don´t do

anything that you feel bad" that was a very good advice. Only you self know what is good or bad to you.

    Best wishes yogi Kurunam

  • We mixed yoga and religion ( truth and love ) to make a better

world cause this world is " perseestä ". You can just go on with

your practise maybe one day you´ll get the selfknowledge.

I am so sorry that my english is not so very good!

You can do some theory with Patanjali.

  • He ( we ) know what we talk cause we have 3000 years selfknowledge. Have a nice day! OM

  • quit talking

    Just do it

  • It's a good point that you brought up, but Ashtanga has to be explained somehow, right? The whole system of Ashtanga is more than just the asanas. It includes breathing and meditating as well. Besides, Pattabhi Jois is over 90 years old, and he doesn't do the asanas like he used to. He did his practice for decades, so you would think he could use the rest. But he still practices pranayama breathing.

  • Do you realize who Pattabhi Jois is? He studied with Krishnamacharya (please check out that clip) who revitalized the Hatha yoga tradition in the early 1900's. Pattabhi Jois studied under him and created the Ashtanga series (please correct me if I am wrong). If YOU do yoga...it is because of men like Pattabhi Jois!!!

  • Yes, Krishnamacharya and Jois developed the Ashtanga series from the old texts. They did a lot of adapting. Krishnamacharya, along with Jois and Krishnamacharya's brother-in -law B.K.S. Iyengar, have been influential on modern day hatha yoga.

  • you cant do yoga yoga is a natural state

  • Gabrinkas, it is an interesting point you make. If you knew this Yogi you would know that he actually speaks very little as a rule. He is also over 90 years old.

  • P Jois gave up his physical practice as a form of sacrifice after his eldest son died.

as to the "fat" you should see Iyangar who in his late 80's and with a belly, can do amazing physical asanas.

plus its an interview, so smarten up.

  • "as a form of sacrifice after his eldest son died"

Its sad to hear but I don't seem to understand this sentence? Can you please explain more. Im trying to solve my confusion not to act odd.

  • in India, when there is an untimely death, sometimes those close to the person will sacrifice something important to them in honor of the person that passed. when Gurujis eldest son died, gurugi gave up his asana (posture) practice.

  • I understand that the whole thing is too intimate and of a high level like the son in the scriptures (sravan) who carried his old parents or the wife in Mahabharata who closed her eyes with cloth because her husband was blind. Not so easy to understand but I know something of a higher level.

  • you don't recognice a master when you hear one. respect, peace, love... if you don´t like keep your mouth closed. did you practice ashtanga??? you have to give thanks to this guy the bigest modern master

  • Funny english

  • Thanks for this present...send us more please

  • Fantastic. I like especially what he said about practice and theory. Hopefully I will be able to reach my dreams one day.

  • he's...i don't know that word.

  • thanks!

  • Great! Thanks very much! Got any more?
