In any other country there is analogue BMD-4 (And no analogues BMD1/2/3 not сущеществует till now). These are unique vehicles which land by air together with infantry!

It is somewhat complicated. The door in rear is hidden and opens vertically, in the rear there is only room for 3 Infantrymen, in the front there are positions for 2 more, one can use a Machinegun that faces forward. Deploying Infantry is difficult in combat conditions so Infantrymen simply sit on top of the sides or use a BTR-D armored personnel vehicle(or truck) for transportation.
There already is a Machinegun armed BTR-D and a new improved armor BTR-D3 but currently it is not mass produced. They have use all internal space for troop transportation.
These are vehicles based on the BMD chassis and have nothing in common with BTR-60/70/80 series of wheeled Armored Transports.

The BMD-4 Bachka is only superficially-related to the BMP family. It's basically a BMD-3 with a new turret, housing the same weaponry as the BMP-3. The BMD-3 has a 30mm autocannon and an ATGM tube, rather than a 30mm/100mm/ATGM combo.
Unlike the BMPs, which are general-purpose Infantry Fighting Vehicles, BMDs are made especially for airborne ops. Being air-droppable, fully amphibious light tracks, they can go anywhere and deploy quickly --- the Russians even sling-loads them under helicopters!
@Lunchbox94 bmp and bmd are in services at the same time. One is for the airborne troop and the other is for the general ground forces. They differ in their internal arrangement too. BMD actually has the engine in the back while the bmp has it in the front.

It is hard to spot a concealed rpg guy from the inside of a tank.... Thats one of the reasons why military combat vehicules carry armor.

???The BMD-4 is said to be capable of carrying 4 troops, and the same applies to the BMD-3. Same chassis, but I see no rear door.
