Good clips, I throw a 2 seam splitter, a 4 seam forkball along with a couple of different sinkers. Works good in Amatuer League baseball for a guy almost 48 years old with a 80mph fastball.
splitters are probably one of the nastiest pitches in baseball, that is if ur fastball is also nice and hard. i throw one and i normally strike out 2 ppl per inning with it. u normally want to throw it belt high making it look like its a cock shot, and hten itll just drop off the table. its easy to throw and very effective but u need to throw it hard, sometimes harder then ur fastball to get the best effect out of it. mine splitter is roughly 75-77 mph.
when i threw this in bp my coach thought it was a slider. i was lookin 4 a pitch that i could through without hurting my arm(im 12) and when i threw this pitch it dopped like a foot and a half with 3 inches of tail. AWSOME PITCH. but i like to trow it right down the middle.
go get em partner. im a lefty too. I Have a four seam, two seam, curve, four finger change and a split.
Back to topic tho i have been throwing my split like a slow curveball. but i now understand, after seeing this video, that throwing it downhill is much better.
That last one is what mine looks like. It's a forkball, not a traditonal splitter. I can also make it move inward to right handed batters pretty hard.
Sasaki splitter is nasty!!!

@neqquah The last one was a splitter thrown side-arm. It has a funny looking loop on it.

@dheeren62 I have heard that a 4-seam forkball is dirty is you can control it. Looks like a knuckler.

islandballer.. its hard for a lefty to throw splitters and such because of the natural tail that leftys usually have
