You see, it works for me? Imagine Sisters Of Mercy meets David Gilmour meets Bauhaus, then put Ian's voice over it? Goes on a bit with itself towards the end, but sorta close, and very contemporary whether we're taking late 70s or mid 90s eh? This particular piece of post-production take is every bit as authentic and valid as the orignal IMO.
