INCONSISTENT IS THE CORRECT WORD FOR ABREU. HE MIGHT HAVE BEEN A GOOD PLAYER BUT NOW HE REALLY SUCKS. TIRED OF WATCHING HIS BIG ASS JOG TO THE DUGOUT AFTER GROUNDING OUT OR JUST PLAINLY STRIKING OUT. ABREU WAKE THE F**K UP!
Haha funniest player to see in Philly. From his amazing first half in 05 toped off with the HRD, to his absolutely terrible second half of 05. Kinda like Raul Ibanez, but x2.
You are missed by the Yanks, and the Phils, but the best came out of everything. Both teams won championships.
As an Angels fan, I have to say that Abreu has been the one true difference maker in turning around the entire offense this season. Before his arrival, the club was pretty much an overly aggressive hacking team. Now the players are starting to follow his lead, going deeper into counts and taking the BB on 3-2 as opposed to swinging at it hoping to get something started. I'm proud to say he playing for my team and hopefully comes back for one more year!
Bobby was the shit but u cant be mad at the yankees they're thinkin about the future bobby's great but he's gettin old yanks are investing in young talent to develop a new dynasty
you know, no one noticed him, no one respected him enough, no one noticed how amazing of a player and person he is, no one cared! He was one of the ONLY players to stay out of a slump the whole 2008 season, I hope he does AMAZING this season, the Yankees should be ashamed not to have him on their team anymore.
As a right fielder, he's average at best and as a hitter, he's pretty good and puts up consistent numbers, but he was just never the same after that home run derby. He was a damn good home run hitter and he can still hit one out from time to time, but that derby did something to him. Perhaps it messed up his timing or his mechanics.
