Seriously, I've ever wondered if the creators of the Sonic Riders series are/were fans of the Paper Mario series. I mean, there are similarities between the storylines of both series (excluding Sonic Free Riders and Paper Mario 64, of course). The first Sonic Riders' storyline is awfully similar to that of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (not in the details, though), and Zero Gravity mentions "the worlds" just like Super Paper Mario (and there's even a black hole in both games).

@TheGatitaCosmica The Paper Mario games have story and dialogue that are way better done than in Sonic Riders though.
