Some apps don't auto reconnect, your DISCONNECTED when you talk or text on Verizon. Period. No internet connection. And your "fast" 3G is a THEORETICAL 3.1mbps, an absolute joke in today's high speed world. You probably see less then 1MB on average, guess what I see. 3.8MB last test. ACTUAL SPEED, NOT THEORETICAL! My theoretical is 7.1MBPS.

Coverage is a huge factor when choosing a carrier, I'd actually say it's more important for me than what type of phone I'm lugging around. I've been using NET10's network for over 2 months now and can honestly say that I'm never switching back to Verizon. 1. because NET10 runs on BOTH ATT and Verizon towers so I get the best nationwide coverage there is. 2. ITS 50 BUCKS A MONTH for the unlimited plan. And 3. There's no contract!

@JWiLLfoReaL Verizon iPhone's, or even phones in general for Verizon, cannot ever use data while you talk (browse while you talk). Verizon uses "CDMA" technology, which does not allow this. AT&T uses GSM, which not only allows the advertised ability, but it's also twice as fast..for now. There's no real reason to not use AT&T or Verizon, however, the reception issues with AT&T is a little blown out of proportion. I've gotten just as many dropped calls on Verizon, and maybe less on AT&T.

The iPhone is fine right where it is.. Verizon has a horrible network and everytime I talk to somebody who is using it they sound as if they are under water... I have 3G where I live in the middle of no where and people with Verizon can't even find a bar. Also for all of you trying to compare Android to iPhone... Keep in mind that it takes about 100 Android phones on any network to outsell 1 iPhone on 1 network... Try comparing it to 1 phone in sales and then tell me whats selling.

Apple (or a company in china that makes the hardware) has began making CDMA iPhone 4’s and will be shipping them to apple sometime in the fourth quarter of 2010.

The feature Apple is talking about is known as "Concurrent services". It is supported in current implementations of UMTS.
Verizon uses 1XRTT/EVDO technology that also supports "Concurrent Services" but it was never implemented in commercial networks. It was never part of any system requirments.
This feature is available to ALL UMTS mobiles...not jut the iPhone...this is not a big deal.
With Verizon you can use EVDO-RevA multiple RLP flows and have the same thing. Anybody willing to refute?

i just got the blackberry tour.. and it comes with a verizon sim card, yes a verizon SIM CARD. It also says when you turn it on it can use the GSM network or the regular verizon CDMA network. If i unlock the iphone can i use it on verizon since i have the sim card?
cuz youre still in a call, and you can still talk to the person you calling while using internet, they work at the sametime, not one at a time like verizon.
It said return to call on the top. Regardless you could just not waste your minutes and call back. The feature is there so you burn your minutes and is incredibly awkward anyway. Its not even a real feature.

It has been proven that Verizon lied on their is a map for that commercial. AT&T has the best 3G speed and coverage and there is no way that apple is going to put the iPhone on a company that attacks it. Sorry Verizon, you can't beat AT&T and you most certainly can't beat the iPhone.

Even if the iphone came to verizon there would still be that war but would be at a more equal starting point because instead of the spotty AT&T they both would be on the way better verizon service and the war would be based on the phone instead of coverage of the service and the phone.

I'm not sure if it'll be on Verizon. There is a possibility, but I'd say it's more unlikely than likely.

The feature Apple is talking about is known as "Concurrent services". It is supported in current implementations of UMTS.
Verizon uses 1XRTT/EVDO technology that also supports "Concurrent Services" but it was never implemented in commercial networks. It was never part of any system requirments.
This feature is available to ALL UMTS mobiles...not jut the iPhone...this is not a big deal.
With Verizon you can use EVDO-RevA multiple RLP flows and have the same thing. Anybody willing to refute?

i just got the blackberry tour.. and it comes with a verizon sim card, yes a verizon SIM CARD. It also says when you turn it on it can use the GSM network or the regular verizon CDMA network. If i unlock the iphone can i use it on verizon since i have the sim card?

Second let me check showtimes and get back to you. I even do that when I am in front of the computer. Its rude to keep someone on the phone while you are trying to find information.
