OMG, they are SO, SO CUTE!!! I grew up with cockers, and still have one of the photos in my wallet. Some people have over-bred them, but I think that may be limited to American Cocker Spaniels, which has resulted in some of them having bad temperaments. But if you're careful with the breeder and, as I said, I think English Cockers are exempt from this problem, it should be fine.
They are the BEST, sweetest, smartest, most affectionate and, obviously, CUTEST dogs ever.
They are a lot of fun, always make you laugh! If you want a dog that is going to be your best friend and follow you around, then you will love a cocker spaniel! They live for attention, love and food :D
they are full of energy but as long as you are able to give enough exercise and training then you will have a new best friend. They are so loyal and loving.
Following on from what loreolei said, I am getting a cocker spaniel puppy, so we have been doing lotsss of research on them. If you get them trained well they will attach to your mood, so if you are jumping about the house- the dog will be lively, but if you're laying down, so will the dog. I find that cute and reassuring :D

My Cocker does the same thing. When I watch this video she starts to bark because she thinks there is another dog in the house. She is usually not a big barker and that is the only trouble she gets into is when she is barking which that's not very often. We have 2 dogs of course my English Cocker Spaniel and we have a Miniature Schnauzer that is the loudest barker. She is tiny but her bark is so loud, so loud that I feel like inside my ears are going to squeal.

This is my favorite breed of any dog.
