If you take the one ball and add the ball on one side, example 1 and 9 is ten, then it adds up to the next ball on the other side. This works on all but the 15

its obvious.... he did this before to set it up, look at the rack... going from diagonally from left to right it goes 9-10-11-12 then from right to left its 2-3-4-5 also, if u look at it just left to right its 9-2 then he adds another number to both of those numbers... 3-10 but he switches them up and it keeps going 11-4 5-12......

As far as the solid vs stripe distribution, this is how I rack for 8 Ball. It gives the fairest distribution of solids and stripes - there are 3 1/2 stripes and 3 1/2 solids on either side of the midline. There is a solid and a stripe as wing balls, and they alternate down the sides of the rack.

The easiest way to set it up is to make a checkmark (formed in this rack by the 10, 14, 15,13, and 11 balls.

I always rack like this pattern only i don't look at the colours only the pattern stripes and solids. When you always rack like this i mean very time... it is not allowed while the must be in the middel and a strip and solid at the corners... rest Rondomly

This is interesting but if I ever play against someone who racks like this, I will get super annoyed. 8 in middle. corner balls are opposite (stripe/solid) is all that matters in BCA rule book and really... all that matters whenever you play 8 ball.

BCA rules only require the 8 to be in the middle and the two corner balls or wing balls be opposite (stripe/solid). That's it. one ball doesn't even have to be in front.

It absolutely doesn't matter if you rack a pattern or not.

The two balls behind the apex ball go to the side pockets, the corner balls go 4 rails into the corner pockets where they are racked.

Now just kill the white and keep it in the center of the table and enjoy an easy runout - no matter if the numbers match...
