The new Hawaii Five-O is a great show in its own right, but nothing compares to the original. In fact, the old show's credits kicks the new one's butt today as it did when it premiered. Jack Lord facing the camera from the hotel balcony says it all.

@amrak63 I'm with you all the way! You can't equal or imitate the original. This opening has personality. The new Five 0's opening is OK, but just OK. As with so many revivals of older shows and movies, there's a tendency to want to sharpen and glitz things up too much. As for me, I loved the wrinkled aloha shirts on the "perps" and the bit parts played by locals. Our insurance man once played a doctor because he was a golfing buddy of someone in the cast.
