It will not improve performance, but it does filter to a higher standard than a paper filter some 12 times the surface area. Don't make the mistake that mst boy racers do - it will not improve your acceleration or top speed or fuel economy. It will just make a different noise. The standard paper filter passes more air than the engine uses at full RPM, so does this one. It is an urban myth that paper filters and housing restrict flow. @urbex2007 I have a cold air feed on my punto and induction kit. I get cooler air than what I did from manufacturers induction, a smoother flow of air and better throttle response. I don't know wherether or not I get better acceleration because I haven't tested it. It all depends how the filter is set up. Alot of the time people make it worse by sucking in warm air from the engine block. It has the potential to be better than stock, just depends on the set up.

@leakypj my mate has one on his 1.6 rover 25 they sound so good on 25's get the bigger throttle body for rover 25 aswell
