Just imagine... sheep growing wool 20 times faster than their normal rate, cows producing milk faster, harvesting energy from photosynthisis, harnessing the power of spider silk, growing corn or wheat plants that are immune to locust, disease, weather, and can be grwon any time of the year, and still be faster, human enhancement, perhaps we could even breed creatures that could aide us in terraforming other planets? We are playing god now, let us flourish and prosper!
Yea but playing god can't possibly end well. What if there are some side effects that cause issues ranging from minor to catastrophic?
Or if we do master gene splicing what about WHEN someone does miss use it for they're own means? I mean if you can use it it kill someone else it's only a matter of time right?
I mean we as a race have no restraint on anything.... ANYTHING. Kind of depressing really.....

WE abuse any power that is given to us because there will always be evil men who misuse it.
If the fact that our race is too immature to do the right thing with power isn't depressing, then the fact that we become numb to the misuse of power is.
