Choose "save as" when you have the document open.

Then make sure that next to the "save as type" option, you choose "all file types" in the drop down bar.

After that just type .pnach after the name of the document and save it. That should change it to a pnach file.

"byte" or "short" like they explain in the tutorial this guy read for sure..

i saw that a code starting with "0" = byte

"1" = short

"2 or above"= word...

for other people...learn something... THIS IS FOR US VERSION....these codes are for ntsc (not sure it spells like this)

and for the users that can make it work on US versions because they get an error crash...

if when you decrypt a code...if it stars with 1 you have to change it to 0 or 2...

example: 15E489 00000F

you have to make it:

05E489 00000F or 25E489 00000F

its easy patch is just that you know its a patch...

the 1 stand for active (0 for deactivated)

EE has something to do with the console (there is IOP or something as well but dont mess around with that xD)

I tried the game without the master code for FFX after watching this video but the game keeps crashing. I'm not sure if it's because some of the codes start with 2 or something else but if you know a master code i can use it would probally help. Thank You!

Also.. I had save states, so my game wasn't lost.. I loaded up the save state, and the codes hadn't taken effect. I thought maybe, well, I was supposed to "Load" my game.. so I saved it, closed and re-opened the emulator, loaded my game proper, and the codes still didn't work. =/ Someone help out? Lol.

if you need to cheat on ps1 there's a gameshark like program you can download called CEP. it's really simple to use, just run your emulator with the game on and open the CEP. next go to the process tab and click the drop arrow of "select applecation" there will only be 1 option click that and then click base address bar, once again only one option then click search. an the rest will fill out, then go to custom, put in codes line by line, set the drop downs to gamshark and ps1then clikc on.

there a very much easier way to get codes for the pcsx2. i figure it out on my on and it way easier than this hard as shit. all you have to do is download codebreaker.elf change to BOOT.elf load on pcsx2 it will load codebreaker make sure you have the game already in under the cd dvd plugin. im sure every body knows how to use codebreaker after you enter cheats, then use just hit start. and press play game. just like you would on a regular ps2. so much easier.

This video has been one of the few helpful tutorials I've seen, and it has given me more than just an idea on how to do this. Sadly the game I'm trying to get codebreaker codes isn't listed on Codebreaker's site, or in this case the correct version. Persona 3 FES isn't listed but the original P3 is, the ps2 version checker only but makes this apparent. So I'm going to take a chance on a couple user created codes and hopefully it will work for my NTSC/U version.

For those who want to speed up the emulator; I can tell you that you WILL need a dual core processor and a decent graphics card. At 2.5GHz single core with 8500GT gfx card, games like FFX will run at 15~30 frames (which is quite slow) But if you have dual core processor, you can enable MTGS and dual core mode in CPU setting (in PCSX2) you can more or less double the frame rate. my FFX runs at 137 frames at intro and over 55 ingame. (40 minimun when there's a lot going on)
