No one is giving tax cuts to the "rich" the rich dont pay income tax, they pay capital gains taxes so changes in the income tax code do not affect them. changes in the income tax code affect lottery winners, small businesses and school administrators (school administrators are some of the highest paid employees) Sure it affects big biz CEOs but they are a small percentage of those taxed)

Its just a matter of how long they can postpone it. Bailing out companies? well, Obama did that, not republicans and the companies werent failing because of greedy execs. I am too busy working (which I thought you teabaggers respected) to relearn and teach my son trigonometry, calculus, chemistry, latin, and physics. Why don't you try it. I served in the invasion if Iraq (USS Nassau, Phibron2, 5th Fleet) but I wouldn't dare care for kids I can't beat as a job. China's teachers are respected and well paid. They have no right to assemble a union. They are given far too much latitude. They should be accountable for every action they do. They are impossible to fire and while the rest of this country with real jobs who are struggling to make it, they bitch about cutbacks? Give me a break.

IE no or almost no highways, bridges, schools, hospitals, libraries, museums, zoos, airports, police, firemen, EMT, powerplants, clean water or sewer systems, building codes (so we don't get crushed like Hatians), food safety inspectors, poison control, disease control. In other words, a stinking death hole! Go to Somalia, Ethiopia, Guatemala or Yemen and see how wonderfully prosperous everyone is in a country with a small government.

If you aren't listening to his words, he kind of has a Jesse Jackson flavor to him. But then when you pay attention his words are meaningful and heartfelt. I'm a libertarian and would certainly vote for Sowell (for one) because I understand that skin color has nothing to do with the character of a man. to be a libertarian you must value the rights of every individual equally, and that is really the most necessary requisite to being a libertarian.

This is the first time that i have heard Thomas Sowell speak....and he sounds very insightful....and so he has my respect.
It is worrying to think that countries who also have nuclear weapons; like Iran, might sell nuclear weapons to terrorists who are also enemies of their enemy (i.e. Israel)...in order for the terrorists to attack Israel and by doing so it would allow Iran not to get their hands dirty (so to speak)!

An uneducated public votes for someone because they are impressed by the speeches someone (B.O and politicians) in general give. For example many people myself formerly included bought the BS the media said about Sarah Palin thinking as the media portrayed her as a uneducated unqualified VP candidate but if you investigate her character you understand that she is actually articulating American principles and values
