  • Were these DMK babies or were these some of the adults? I LOVE this video. Poor things have a good life finally!

  • @parrotcrzy The dark one was only about 8 months in this video (she was born at patricks day). The white one, we have no idea just like wtih most. But it looks like she's 1-2 years old by her teeth.

  • We have two ferrets - Dobby and Tonks. Those ones look really happy to be in a safe new home and the music really goes. What are those four called?

  • Thanks. You know Youtube. They yanked "Spirit in teh Sky" from the vid. That was so perfect. ::rolling eyes:: Doenst matter if I don't make a dime and it's a tribute the generosity and hard work of others who contributed to saving them.

  • The white wacky girls name is "CRACKERS!". The happy little sable is named "Shananigins" because she was born on St Patricks day and her eyes have a green glow. The big white male is Pharos meaning "beam of light" (Sean's ferret after Rocky passed). The mildly amused oldster chocolate is Laddie.

  • Ahhh! They are sooo cute! I want me and my bf to move to the mainland so that we can have ferrets. :] They are such interesting animals. I heard they're stinky tho, is that true?

  • yes and no. They smell more than some species of dogs, but a lot less than others. If you kept a chiuawa in a cage and rarely changed the bedding, plus only scooped his poop once a day he'd smell MORE than a ferret any given day. Ferrets are like dogs.

Control odor with baths no more than 1 every two months (or they will smell more), wash blankets and toys every few days or so, scoop that pan 1-2 a day. wella!!! Most people don't do all of that (and NO pet store does) and those smell.

  • Keep ears clean.

But most of all NO CHEAP ferret food or kitten chow that has less than 36% protein and make sure there is absolutely NO fish.

  • So good that they are happy now

were they very bitey when you first rescued them?

  • They did while in holding after the rescue (which was a week or so), and then the dark one did the night of transport. Crackers, the white one, went to a shelter and was rehabbed immediately. Neither were real "biters". Just scared. The majority of these animals were not "biters". It shows that can be genetic, because they had the worst possible circumstances. Some ferrets suffering much less, can react in very negative ways. They are sweethearts today. I had to do no rehabbing. :)

  • Thats good, im sure they are in exctasy now in a loving home. I made a video of my rescue ferret, i am uploading it now so it should be available within the hour or so, check it out if you wanna, he is s CUTE i lurve him! AND I LOVE FERRETS!

  • Wow, i'd love to have a ferret room like this! What is the rubbermaid box full of (looks like rice?)

  • yup! A rice box or dig box. Its great for them.

  • What sort of care do they need?

  • The highest of maintence. 1 ferret = two times litter scooping a day, cleaning bedding a couple times a week, all of the shots and vet care that a dog requires, and they are not caged animals. they have to be out at least 4 hours a day, and the more out of cage time the better. The payoff? Temperments far sweeter/safer than any dog or cat. :)

  • so cute

  • spaz ferrets rule. :D

  • LOVE IT! thanks for sharing it! the FML rules :)

  • Yes the FML rules!!!

  • OMG. There some happy ferrets. SO lovley to see. =D

  • Wonderful video. It is such a miracle to see the DMK ferret with a real, loving, fore ever home!!!

  • They are having a ball!
