yeh it broke mine. but i got it fixed i simply plugged in the charger and usb at the same time then it poped up on the computer and i updated it with media go and it works again

I just changed my sons psp faceplate and I am a 46 year old mum ;-)

I am great or what ? This tutorial helped me a lot. His joystick didn't work all that great anymore and I experienced that the smooth movement of this joystick depended on how tight I screwed the screws on the backplate of the psp, so maybe this helps if you have the same troubles. It's working great now and now I am rid of my sons nagging.....

i dont think so, but im nott 100 % sure, but use google or youtube to search. You have to make sure that your faceplate sits on ur psp cuz 1000 faceplate wont sit on 2000

I can't get the screw on the bottom of the psp to come off (it's worn really bad). Can I rip the psp faceplate off and pull the screw out from the inside and replace it with a new faceplate and screw?

Get an eye glass repair kit. They have perfect screw drivers for it, plus they come with screws that fit in the PSP :D

thanks a bunch for this. Put a new faceplate on my PSP and now it's scratch-free again. A warning to anyone doing this, though: get the right screwdriver. If it doesn't fit or the screw won't come out, do NOT keep trying and get a different screwdriver.

I almost ruined a screw, if I had then I could have never taken the faceplate off at all.

Don't follow this tutorial if your using a PSP Slim. I followed it by mistake and pretty much messed up. If your taking your faceplate off for a PSP Slim, make sure you remove the two screws on the top side of the PSP. The PSP Slim's faceplate is stuck to those. I didn't know this, and I yanked the faceplate off and screwed it up. Just an FYI for all of you PSP Slim users..

I did this and i F**KED UP MY FAT PSP!! I didn't handle with care! My X button won't work for crap and my analog moves by itself, my psp sometimes turns on, the power light won't turn on even when my psp is on, and my home bar also doesnt work. just my freaking luck!!!!
