@TheGroovestock it's completly WRITTEN ! it's a piece that chick composed for the First concerto of Mozart he recorded with Fredrich Gulda, recorded in the 80's, it was the mozart double piano Concerto. on the B side of the disk, they recorded this piece that chick specially composed for this album.

@martyprod2 I see that, they`re reading...but i believe there is a middle part where they improvise (over some previous written musical form..) At the end they came back to some written music, but they improvise the endings too ...I guess there are not many paper for all those notes...maybe Chick's composed the themes, and added some impro over there..It seems to be something like a Toccata, which some people say that sometimes it's improvised...

@martyprod2 im' hearing impaired now, and didn't listened to this piece since a very very long time. so i can't confirm right now what you say. it can be both improvised and written... i would have to listen to it again, something i can't do now. 17 years ago, via the corea fan club, it was possible to purchase personnal manuscrit from chick, of EVERYTHING. too bad they removed that feature.. and that the fan club is not existing anymore.
