Well the main problem is many people take the bible as literal truths, mainly older population of christians, people who were taught this prior to the Second Vatican Council. I do not believe in the story of adam and eve, i do believe in its moral meaning though. Science in terms of how humans came about is alot more logical.

Honestly I don't mind when people defend their religion, in which usually it is Christianity because of it's abundancy in the U.S., but when they use the bible to defend their beliefs, it bugs me a lot. The bible, with it's many different translation, are extremely contradictory, and there is a lack of scientifics, i.e. the world being flat, as the bible claims. If they can use scientific evidence I do not mind, but so far not a single one of them has given me concrete evidence.
