Cencic sings in much the similar style as Maureen Forrester in the latter's 1962 recording with Brian Preistman.

The contrast between the anger and the uncertainty is not as well marked as Paula Rasmussen's in the 2000 Dresden live performance, available in DVD but not on Youtube.

For me, Cencic is the BEST alto countertenor since Jochen Kowalski, even better than Andreas Scholl in this category.
