ok so when you showed the cam batt, i just got mine and tried to charge the rechargeable batt it told me to check my battery pack and now i cant do anything

I have one of these & when I have a problem, tech support hasn't helped much. I get conflicting instructions. I was also told that I need a 3 ghz processor for it to work on my computer. That was after it worked on my 2 ghz computer. It's been erratic to say the least.

yeah i went to walmart yesterday and got one for $179 but i went to one walmart and they were out and they had the rgular for $99 and i went to another walmart to buy the ultra hd nd i glanced at the regular and it was $129.

@butterscotchcom i had a flip once but when i used it i go loads of different clips and i wanted to edit them so its like a movie(1 bit of film then the next with no stop or transition effect)but the movie editor on the flip cd only let me make it like a montage video and cut out bits so what other software should i use to make it how i wanted

You press the large red button to start it and press it again to stop it. What you can't do is Pause, so if you take a series of shortish clips you have to edit them if you want to put them into a single film. Really annoying.

im sure as heck going to :) this is going to be my first camcorder, so i figure why not get the best? the worst review i read was complaining that the sound messed up, but im pretty sure it was 'user-error' since the rest of the reviews complemented the sound . also- if you do take my advise- i recommend checking Amazon, they normally sell for only about 159$ there.

I think the inability to pause whilst filming is a major drawback and I don't understand the reason for it, but the same comment applies to the Creative Vado HD I have had since March. This one is coming next week.

You can pause during playback, but not during the actual filming. Still a great camcorder, I can't wait to get mine!
