XtraNormalVideos888, your wrong. Misa did not survive. If you watched the last episode of the anime, you would see that she was standing on the edge of a cliff, about to jump. Also, Misa Amane may have been quite dim, but she was a necessary character. As for Near, he was the only detective against Kira to survive, so he continued detective work, as L's successor. I imagine the task force would return to japan, and be asked to not mention anything about Near or the Kira case to anyone.
