I think this song doesn't exactly target larger audiences but is private - how she fell in love for the first time and found herself changing, she started out stubborn and never thought she would compromise for anyone, but for their love, she did/does .... and that's why they shouldn't fight! it's a big deal how she is changed now! they should only give into it and well, "unite", tonight, etc etc xxx-rated.

In this song, Björk is trying to say that we are all born with different opinions, views and ways. You can't force others to follow your rules because we are all naturally stubborn. But despite our differences, we shouldn't fight. Instead, we should come together and unite.

It's a meaningful song once you understand its lyrics.
