Where they got fucked up was when hitler didnt even let the generals do their jobs and made all the military decisions by himself, thats what I mean by poor leadership. And no army has faced greater odds then them in modern warfare, and you cant compare their situation to any other army in history because technology makes a huge difference on the battlefield.

As the advance into russia stretched the supply lines, the onset of the autumn rains turned the already poor Russian roads into impassable mud. By the time winter arrived (worst in living memory), was too late to supply winter equipment anyway

@washingtonboy09 Germans had the better uniforms, there cannot be any doubt...however, in some cases, the choice of materials didn't tackle the climate well i.e. in Russia where the Wehrmacht lacked proper winter clothing...this doesn't mean the Allies had bad uniforms though. Russians were definitely better equipped when it came to subzero temperatures, while the British wore lighter uniforms in North Africa than the Afrika Korps did.

@washingtonboy09 Germans had the better uniforms, there cannot be any doubt...however, in some cases, the choice of materials didn't tackle the climate well i.e. in Russia where the Wehrmacht lacked proper winter clothing...this doesn't mean the Allies had bad uniforms though. Russians were definitely better equipped when it came to subzero temperatures, while the British wore lighter uniforms in North Africa than the Afrika Korps did.

@adicats: my grandfather is a holocaust survivor. I heard many many stories from his experience in WW2. I did study about the holocaust for more than 5 years and did a LOT of research about it. It's very real, and more amazing and painful and unbelievable than ANY holocaust movie or story. More than 6 million Jews were murdered in systematic ways, mostly sent to gas chambers. It's proven, and documented by the German-nazis themselves. I suggest you start from elementary school and read about it.

Always remember: They were in for a whole lot of shit, but they are also the reason, the russians did not overrun and enslave ALL of Europe like they did in the east ... the last people to defend Berlin were French - for exaclty that reason.
