One bad thing is that it would be summer by the time I get a kit

Up to about €800 (I'm Irish) and just a standard 5 piece kit I'll changing the cymbals anyway

Ohkay so that's about 1100$ canadian.

My first kit was a Pearl and personally- i just hate them now cuz mine was so crappy.

I love Sonor. They're a great company and have high end and beginner end stuff. I'd recomend going with them or Gretsh (but they'll be a little more pricey). Gretsch also speciallizes in certain "genre kits" like Jazz kit, rock kit, etc... So you can "customize" the kit to your style.

Uhmmm... how much are you willing to spend? I love Sonor kits. That kit is like my baby :P But it all depends on how much you're willing to spend on the drums themselves (not the cymbals) and also how many pieces you want? (I have a standard 5 piece).

Yeah- working with Microsoft Movie Maker is a pain to edit your videos :P i tried.

Hopefully, if I start playing some shows with the band I'll rake in enough cash to buy a Mac and final cut :P

@allyc300 Your welcome :) I use a program called VideoPad video editor and it works a lot better than Microsoft Movie Maker :). And that's sweet your in a band, i hope you find some shows to start out ;)

Unfortunatley- I have no clue why it stopped! I actually kept playing though until the end if the song but I guess the "camera man" had some troubles :P I just got a new stereo system in the basement so I can finally play along and cover songs without a lag. :D
