  • Excellent tutorial! The Oscilloscope trick works very well for initial adjustment.

The final tip (how the scale adjustment procedure works) should actually be placed at the beginning of the vide as this is the only possibly confusing part.

  • Great vids Ray , very informative.

  • @sinewaveDave2010 Thanks

  • I wanted to let you know that this video (two parts) has helped me understand the concept of stretch tuning, and has helped me calibrate the VCOs on my Korg Mono/Poly vintage analog synth. Which by the way uses the same 1v/oct scaling system (contrary to all other Korg synth of that era that used the Hertz/oct system).

Thanks for clearly explaining the intricacies of VCO tuning.

  • That's awesome man! Glad to help. As the t-shirt says: "tune it or die".

  • Really enjoyed this presentation! Great info!

    The best on youtube.

    :) TSF

  • At about 4.00 I mean "cycles" of the clock used to measure the VCO's cycle period, not the VCO's actual frequency itself.

  • I tried to shorten the whole thing but still keep the important parts. This one has less rambling and is more accurate.
