Believe it you not but there is 9.1 Surround Sound.It's way Better And More Sharp.I Own a 9.1 Surround

so far only 240 screens out of 30,000 screens in the USA are equipped with 7.1 speakers

@9eigh Hi Leigh, as of October 2010 there are more than 1,000 theaters equipped with Dolby Surround 7.1.

I remember seeing TS3 and staying after the credits. I noticed they had a credit of "mixed in dolby surround 7.1" there. (The theater I went to see TS3 used mandatory Dolby Digital 5.1)
