I'm not saying that this is flawless, but you're being a little over critical. I've seen live performances that have been a thousand times worse by artists way more popular than her.
If you get the time, look up Panic At the Disco performing "Nine in the Afternoon" on the 2007 MTV VMAs. That's crap.

these days record company don't publish songs and artist becuase they can sing, but becuase they will drive in the cash! Im serious, I've tried getting published before and they ddin't care how good i was; if i dont have the fame, i dont have the deal. It's as simple as that.

I have followed young Steph for ages, I loved 'mistake' and didn't know any better (that she was a dying cat when singing) till I saw her live at the AVMA's doing "So Do I Say Sorry First" - my partner and I came home that night and youtubed her and saw that she has ALWAYS been as bad as she is, it's bizaare, I've never known a terrible singger to keep trying to sing live so much !!

She's not that bad. At least she wasn't lip-syncing. She was actually singing live. She was probably very nervous and it was one of her first live performances. I'm not really a fan but she's not horrible
