well, considering the carpet python has already killed the 'possum'... clearly hes won.

Is this a wild snake ? You know those go for $150-500... i would have grabbed it, sexed it and if it was female/kept/bred it.

@rrredzzz I'm going to assume it is a wild snake, meaning he's in Australia. Where it is illegal to export animals. Carpet pythons go for that much here in the US or Europe. In Australia I'm guessing they a bit less expensive seeing that they are local animals and more available. Carpet pythons in the rest of the world are all descendant from carpet pythons that were exported from Australia before it became illegal. And wild caught snakes generally do pretty poorly in captivity.

Yep, this is a wild one. We relocated to it to the forest on the top of our mountain. On average I see one or two each summer.

although its a snake the australian caroet python isn't poisoness and just like all snakes are harmles if u leave them alone, if u have a carpet python in ya garden ur leass likely to have a poisoness one cause they python will eat all its food. so is always good to have a python in ya garden they're great pets

Yep, its looks bad but its nature!! Just like its nature for us humans to take the eggs off the chickens, or eat the cute little lambs. Bring it on. This is an awesome video, i wish i had wild carpet pythons near my house. The only one near here lives in the loungeroom in a reptile enclosure!
