dude you can do alot on sky rim:create your own weapon at smiths,give yourself a beard,get a job,watch two people fighting over an item you dropped,kids return your object that you dropped,fight dragons!,game will randomly generate a quest for you,the only bad part is that you cant choose your race.the game gives you it based on your skills(hope you get the class you want)

telekinesis isn't gone it just moved to a different skill school, probably alteration and it wont be like how it was in oblivion it will be played out more like bioshock, where you are able to grab things from afar and then fling them with great froce at an enemy. just a friendly informant.

Lol they already made the same mistake twice with the duplication glitch.

They patched it,

first it was with the paintbrushes

after the patch it was scrolls and the scrolls were even easier

i hope one of the races is wearwolf, you turn into a wolve at night, or whenever you want to, strength/speed/agility is increased by alot. as for abilitys, i hope you can breathe fire, have different sword attacks, have actual assassinations, such as cutting someones throat when snuck up on. i have tons of more ideas.

@QuadHarold I doubt one of the races will be werewolf since there are 10 races in this apparently, just like Oblivion. Still, they are bringing back Vampirism so it's not totally illogical to think they'll implement a werewolf disease.

Thing about level scaling in this game vs Oblivion, is this game doesn't choose specific stats which level you up. If I had to guess, it will either just be any 10 or so levels you gain in any stats at all, or 10 levels in any combat skills.

Sounds like they took some ideas from the mod Nehrim. Cooking, mining, and blacksmithing were all present in that overhaul, so those are easily going to be in the new game. Woodcutting and farming seem a little farfetched i think... Booo fast travel...i wont be using it lol

actually i have some info on level scaling that you guys might find relieving... Yes,monsters will get stonger as you get stronger, but certain places you have explored will lock at your level, and you can go back at any time later in the game and fight them.

I like level scaling, why does everyone hate it. It makes it so you can do any mission at any level. in Most rpg's there are some missions you can't do until you get to a high enough level to take on the enemies. This way any quest is accessible at any level. The elder scrolls series has to be the best rpg series ever, and in my opinion the best game series ever. can't wait.

@ledZeppelin7680 Well, the advantage of building their own engine would be that they could build it or optimize it towards their own game, like the large open world concept. it remains to be seen how ID's new engine could perform on large scale outdoor scene.

@Hornet85 the first game using ID tech 5 is rage, a game that sports a vast open world with incredible visual detail. but, after seeing the new skyrim gameplay, I can't say I'm not impressed. clearly they've designed a powerful, high quality engine. the whole point was that if they could have used someone else's engine and focused on the actualy game, the game would feature a lot more detail.

@cheetah0303 RAGE is open world. it's more than capable of a game as big as oblivion/fallout. the art style and detail depends on the developer, not the engine.

@ljdamann54 pretty much the monster's get stronger as you get stronger. It means whilst you can thus fight most monsters early in the game, they will pose the same difficulty at a much higher level equipment aside.
