I know at the time everyone must have been scared and not 100% sure that jim jones would do such a thing.

But everyone should have just ran into the forest from the pavillion, this would have meant that the guards would have been able to kill less people as they could not shoot all 900 + people, also they may not have had enough ammunition there ready.

Like everything else about the end of Jonestown, there is some speculation to Jones death.

The official autopsy report ruled that his death was synonymous with a self-inflicted gun wound. However the pistol was located sixty feet away from Jones' body.

It's possible that he killed himself, but then the gun was taken by one of his close advisors who then shot herself, based on part of the Jonestown pbs documentary.

No they weren't. Alot of them were. But alot of them weren't. There were was alot of struggling and the guards had to secure the exits. Gun shots were heard. There were times when nurses and solders had to pin down adults and children and inject the poison into their mouths by forse. The babies and most of the elderly weren't able to defend themselves so they poisoned them too.

Great video captain. I don't know the exact circumstances, but I'm pretty sure the structures in Jonestown burned down in the early 1980's. I think they had some Laotian refugees in there around that time too. I haven't been able to find the exact details about that yet.
