It can ruin your life if you let it, afraid to stay at friends/b.f over night worrying that an attack would occur, in which case I would always pretend to sleep. There are many reason that can trigger this disorder, & I believe it is different for every individual. I was fatigued/tired all the time, suffered anxiety attacks, radical deterioration in my health & immunity- hair & weight loss, severe pain below waist & feet- spasms & stiffness, insomnia; I didn't want to sleep so became routine.
Cuttin' it short; My treatment consisted of acupuncture and Moxibustion, which helped the involuntary muscle spasms, and also during sleep paralysis. Relaxing sessions 2 slow my breathing in preparation of sleep, and cocooning the body.
On my 1st consultation I was given various traditional and herbal medicines to me sleep and strengthen my immune system- complete detox. The treatments helped me beyond words, I was sleeping which allowed my health to come back, and I was on my way to recovery.
This happened to me a couple nights ago. It only lasted a few seconds i guess, but it seemed like it lasted forever... been sleeping with my lights on lately
Your mind is still in its REM cycle and your dreams are still active, even as you are aware and seeing real-life things around you.
You have a nightmare so your defense goes WAKE UP! You wake up, yet you are still in sleep mode. The reason you see demented and nightmarish things is because the nightmare you were just having is still active!
Most people try to relax, but some, like me with anxiety, will go into panic mode, hence the sense of dangers.
Everyone experiences different episodes. And it makes me laugh how you god fearing fucking faggots see a pentagram or a demon in a video and start clicking the dislikes button. Subliminal messages WTF IDIOT! You buy a fucking Big Mac because you saw a McDonalds ad - So, what the fuck is that then!? Closed minded fucking invalids miss the whole fucking point of this video. Guess what, god doesn't exist. Therefore neither does satan. So get a fucking grip on reality! They are depictions!
@conatcha Sensationalist? Don't use that word you fucking idiot! Your ignorant fucking idle brain can't comprehend these fucking nightmares. This is spot on with what I have experienced. Use your imagination you fucking bafoon. These are artist depiction of what couldn't be explained at the time (or of sleep paralysis) made some 100's of years ago. They could only explain it as Demons. NO FUCKING SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES HERE RETARDS! Besides, your god will not save you in the end anyway. :D
@Totemface Are you mentally retarded? I'm having SP every now and then. In fact I had one the night before yesterdey. I experienced strange sounds and tactile hallucinations. I know very well what a SP is, understood? And I'm sick of seeing stupid SENSATIONALIST videos like this one, which the only purpose is to scare people about it. Even the video ends with an image of a satanic pentagram, for fuck's sake! You can keep on making yourself interesting just for having SP, you prick...
I don't think the maker of this video has ever experienced sleep paralysis. I think they just put some imagery with some descriptions they found and included some of their own elaboration. I am 32 and have had them (more than I can count) since my mid-teens. I have catalogued the characteristics of my experiences, but am still searching for the explanation. (For me, it can happen in any sleeping position. I first thought it was just the back, but proven wrong later.)
come on people, now we know it scientificly that our brain produce meletonin hormone what makes us sleep and a chemical hormone called dmt that makes us dream after paralyses our muscles while dreaming.it does this cause human brain cant differentiate what is real and what is dream. if you cant move thats cause you are still dreaming. and dmt lifts what we call conscious reality.thats how we dream the impossible stuff like flying or being in multiple places at one time and the weird stuff
I've been getting them for a while now and they've only gotten worse. At first, I'd just feel their/his presence. Now I can actually see the motherfucker. I just wish he wouldn't paralyze me so I can beat him up.
@MessiiFanatic like omg dude i coudnt agree with you more. wtf. fucking guy dressed in black standing by my door, and im just helpless as fuck, cant yell or anything. this shit is really really weird cuz it only happens when i'm home alone. motherfucker paralyses me again i swear im going to the doc.
@SudiArabia Sleep paralysis does usually occur when sleeping in the supine position, but for me at least, it happens in all sleeping positions. In fact, it happened to me sitting upright in an arm chair, unable to move but so conscious to realize my sister was throwing stuff at me. I was completely aware and can even hear her laughing, finding it funny that I was still "asleep" despite what she was doing.
I've had one today in quite a long time, I used to get it more frequently. The first encounter with this is quite desturbing, getting all the halucinations, strange sounds ect. but now it's king of interesting, I could even start a controlled dream. it's not that bad as it is described, probably people who write stuff about it either really scared of this condition or never experienced it...
Why would you make such a big deal out of this. It's natural, you do it everytime you goto sleep, it's just the pictures that comes before a dream :) I'm learning something called "lucid dreaming" which is a state of dreaming where you know your sleeping and therefore will be able to control your dreams (though not all the time) and i'm using a technique, where i go into a sleep paralysis - NO BIG DEAL! I saw some shadows and heard foot steps, but it was my mind, not a fucking alien or demon...
@Electronishment Just like me! I'm also learning about lucid dreaming, and I try to make it every night by going in a sleep paralysis (sometimes), and I've heard footsteps, crickets and alot of other noises, but it isn't a demon like everybody says, that's just stupid.. everyone goes trough sleep paralysis when sleeping! :)
Try this it might help-relax,remind yourself you're still asleep, allow yourself to go back down into sleep or dream, turn around.Once you are free you should be able to wake up.While stuck or in panic the harder you push the more stuck you are,so you need to relax.
Having a friend or someone close or in the room might help, or a nightlight.
This happened to me when I was quite young and didn't understand what it was or anything...it affected me for a few years afterwards all I remember doing was cocooning my self in pillows and blankets so nothing could get to me and if possible I would only have my nose uncovered so I could breath. Would have saved me so much trouble if I had know it wasn't real the whole time -___-
I have suffered form this for a loong time. It usually happens to me when I am under a lot of stress, like I have a deadline or I'm worried about an outcome. My body gives in to rest but my mind is still trying to figure things out. That conflict is what I believe triggers the sleep paralysis.
I've done a lot of research and my conclusion is that the hallucinations are a product of fear created by your brain. When you wake up and u cant move, your brain creates an image that matches that fear
@flakvacc You are correct. I have had numerous events also but do not have the hallucinations. Last night another sleep paralysis event since I was sleeping in an awkward position that caused my arms to fall asleep. I woke up in the wrong order and could not move or speak. After a few minutes the paralysis associated with sleep ended. I can see why so many have awake nightmares on why they can not move since it is a frightening experience.

@cGhostu you are not asleep , listen for a sound like a swarm and jump up , you have to have it happen often to get good at it just hope it doest attack you after you get up like me , stay calm and have no fear this is key laugh at it but if you have no faith is spirit beings good and bad dont antagonize it .
3:20 "Today many BACKWARD societies STILL interpret these HALLUCINATORY experiences in supernatural terms, based on old folklore, NOT TO MENTION BOOGIEMAN MOVIES.
There, fixed it for you. As for real sufferers: SEEK MEDICAL HELP. There is a solution for you.
@HuATTK the boogey mans real. He lives under my bed. Hes the bastard that strangles me when I'm in sleep paralysis. Thats the only logical explanation haha. People with SP don't need medical help they just need to calm the fuck down and realize that you can't die in sleep paralysis. Just lay there long enough and you'll start dreaming then if the old hag or shadow rapist is still messing with you, you can get some revenge.
@HuATTK no you are a scared bitch who uses excused , its called denial , what do you tell someone who can hear and see the same things when awake ? same bullshit as the people who want to hide the truth they use psych as an excuse. your pathetic
@AlienUFOEncounters You know.... If you see strange things when you wake up, make sure you have a webcam to record it, so you can show to others. "There, there, see? That's Freddie Kruger, man!" That's all well and good to tease the kids but, if you want that problem to go away, you can, by getting help from a doctor. If left untreated, and the problem persists, then you might face repercussion as this hallucination comes from oxygen deprivation. But you go ahead and believe whatever you like.
@HuATTK you dont listen to well and i bet thats because your in denial and scared so making jokes makes you feel better, i am no longer harassed by them , not in 12 years.( no drug dealing "doctor" needed) and im not going to act like a schizo and keep a stupid recorder around for you . you will see as all will see what i allready know , the moment you die ,
@AlienUFOEncounters Old boy, from what everybody can see in your writing, you are the very definition of a schizo, someone who believes in his own delusions and coming on to the internet jumping and cussing at anyone who can't join in on your hallucinations. To prove that you're not hallucinating you need to show some evidence. If you can even bother to set up a webcam or something, then you're just another foaming at the mouth loonie bin.
@HuATTK ok so YOU being th esane one would suggest i put up video cameras all over so in the off chance im visited again i can proove it to YOU ? and im the crazy one ?
@AlienUFOEncounters Yeah, you're right. You got me. I mean, you got us! Me and the whole world, we're all stark raving redrum LOLlymen, man. And we're out to get you. So don't stare too deep into a mirror, or walk under a ladder, open a closet at night, go up to the attic, look up the chimney, etc. Ho ho ho. That's not all, there's a girl named Samara with long black hair I'd like you to meet! Oh, we are going to have so much fun!
I haven't had sleep paralysis in about 3 years, I used to have them every single day, beware of the 3:15 am time, for some reason this is the usual time when I use to get them, followed by nightmares and allucinations, I would wake up and see spiders, red lizards, snakes coming out of my bed. I would look for them, but after a while I would just get tired and say, fckt. just fckn come and byte me or eat me, but just let me sleep.
face your fears and it all go away, next time you are sleep paralysis, you would have wonderful alucinations, it's just a state of mind and brain disorder. if you are afraid, it only means that you are hunted by your own fears, and it would get as worst as you let them be, but no matter what you see, if is real or not, you are in charge of your own mind, you are not alone. worst thing that can happen to an individual is loosing his mind. be strong and face your fears, laugh at them if you can.
Alright some people say it is demons haunting you and some say it is aliens abducting or experimenting on you it is all bullshit what happens is your body thinks your asleep along with your mind your eyes are still open you are basically half asleep and half awake the hallucinations are the progections in your head caused by REM you can also fall asleep really fast by tricking your body into thinking its asleep by not moving atall with your eyesclosed you mind then realizes it
@metaldethknight666, you'r right !! Wow, just as subliminals in movies commercial etc.. Goes SO fast ya cant even see it. Thanks for sharing that. Great insight. You must be into studying subliminals, & satanic logo's etc, b/c It takes a really awakened mind to see those things. Thought I was awake but I didn't catch that one. Thanks again ! go see that new vid about Mick Jagger. Let me know what u find.
@h2010matt when u say enjoy the ride do u mean a ride, like ur flying? I recently stopped panicking during sp, it was mostly cuz of the presents I felt in my room, but was told their harmless, just close eyes and relax and enjoy the ride, and it was a amazing ride, it felt like a OBE my eyes were closed, but I knew I was out of body and didn't want to open them, I didn't want the experience to stop, but as I was opening my eye I was back in bed and the SP was over. : (
You arent alone, when i was younger i used to think it was aliens... i still dnt know why i get it.. it only happens if im laying on my back, and i can usually feeling it coming.. ill get a vibrating sensation runs down my entire body,, if i sit up quickly it will go away, but i know it coming so i usualy just let it ride out... scary for sure, but you can calm yourself down.... just let it go, dnt fight it.... breath nice and slow...and enjoy the ride...the more you pannic the worse it gets!
Flashing symbols you beleive are "evil" when thier actually used to control demons, not to unleash them on the world. This video is beyound ignorant. Just shows how we as humans are always afriad and fear what we don't know.
She would gently tell me to hush, to stop trying to move. I used to try and talk with her, but of course I couldn't, so I would just sit there and relax. It was amazing. I might be the only "victim" who feels blessed!
I used to get sleep paralysis all the time when I was young...I don't remember ever telling anyone until now. I was really little so I don't remember much, but from the times I do remember I wasn't scared. It had happened many times before, so I got used to it. I felt like a tall thin ghost lady was by my bed. At first she seemed to be threatening, but I would get used to her presence and trust her as a friend. She would reach out to me and talk to me. In retrospect it was kinda cool, actually.
@IHartPie101 I did too, when I was young. I still get them now, but not often. They are a piece of cake when you realize it is just your brain waking up a bit 'out of sync.' According to my Mayo doc, your brain paralyzes your body to prevent sleep walking, kicking and flailing, etc. But if you have too much anxiety you wake up too quickly, before the paralyzation can be reversed. Some people have this problem which slipping into sleep, the body paralyzes too soon and they become aware of it
OMG when i have sleep paralysis i get talked to in some wierd voice telling me im a horrible person im a slut.. etc.. i thought i was having some wierd schitzophrenic wake up situation.. :/
not shore that the elements used in the video complemented an don't fear sign to the sleep action though if most of it's true then that exsplains my paralysis when i keep waking up. though i only thought that it was me cutting off blood in my body till no sleeping position worked.
don't know why anyone would fear this just shake it off of your body when your able to half move and it helps. though fear is a hard thing to shake. and i guess that i'm just used to nightmares my whole life.
the last time this happened to me i fought back and took control or advantage of this i was having fun until i woke up but the 1st time i was stuck dreaming but yet i was awake noone will believe me and say it has happened to i know it has not they are crazy if they even think they saw demonic entities or how ever its spelled hovering above them or beside them it scared me but i want this again but it has yet to come back.
im 15 and i had my first incodent with this a few nights ago, it happened at exactly 3:33 ( like the movie the fourth kind) and i was scared shitless i thought i was getting obducted by aliens!
@DiSanto0 damn thats exactly how i described my first attack to my doctor!!! i heard a strange garbaling noise like the alien language from the fourth kind!!!
@jaws5263 same, it happends to me everynight now im used to it it doesnt even bother me anymore, but i also felt like i heard planes crazshing right outside myhouse and my head felt like it was vubrating, almost like someone is putting a jackhammer to the back of my head
@DiSanto0 I've had that feeling before, accompanied by a buzzing sound IIRC. As it happened a long time ago, the thing I remember the most is the incredible vibration that was going on in my head. I told my dad about it, but he said I was just dreaming. I assured him I was fully awake when it happened, and he didn't really have an answer for that.
@DiSanto0 SP is only one stage, which is after lucid dreaming and before astral travel. It should not last too long (this stage), if it does, then you are not letting go (from fear). Your soul is looking for something and it cannot find what its looking for if you cannot make it past the sleep paralysis state
Thank u for scaring the SHIT out of ppl...u need to learn to go with it an let the fear go...after that u are in controll....and it gets to be alot of fun, being able to go anywere in the world in a blink of an eye.
Why is this video trying to scare people? I'm 17 years old and have narcolepsy and cataplexy....these so called "disturbing sleep attacks" are just hypnagogic hallucinations. Stop trying to make it out to be something to do with the devil and that people who have it are scared that they'll be labelled as mental; you're giving them false information.
@lilmisslili1 It seems to me like you took his music selection for his reasoning. In this video he said everything you just said... and he only mentioned that other people call it that. Its fun being scared of the "unknown" and it adds another interesting twist to it. This man OBVIOUSLY does not believe that its caused by demons.
@lilmisslili1 I think you're afraid to find out the truth about sleep paralysis. Why can't you be open to the possibility that maybe it is a demon attack? You rather think it's just a medical condition because you're too afraid to find out that the "hallucination" is really real. Believe me, I've suffered with SP all my life and I know it isn't "just a dream".
@lilmisslili1 you have a few simular experiences this doesnt mean YOU HAVE THE SAME THING A S OTHERS , when you are thrown down by a evil dark being when awake let alone half awake you would know , you havent seen experienced what i or other have so YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS WRONG
i don't think the video said that. I've been having sp for about 10 years. It's scary yes, but after googling it, I've learned what it really is. This video is trying to tell everyone who is having this that it is normal. Yes, maybe most people won't have it, but there are many of us who do. And it is normal. You're not being hunted by evil demons. I know it's scary. But it is not so scary once you know that many others experience it. That's what this video is saying.
@lilmisslili1 ts only one stage, which is after lucid dreaming and before astral travel. It should not last too long (this stage), if it does, then you are not letting go (from fear). Your soul is looking for something and it cannot find what its looking for if you cannot make it past the sleep paralysis state. as a black shaman i help cure people of many of their soul (karma) issues. First we must suffer karma, then the day comes when we can heal it
I've had this before, there's always something different in the room. It's startling the first few times but then it's like "oh this again." It's kind of cool actually, just like a bad dream really
@johnnyroger80 I wouldn't call it cool. It scares the shit out of me lol. This video has scared me as well. I know it's just a waking dream though. I'm more interested in a scientific explanation.
ohhh this is scary i do suffer from sleep paralysis :S and i hate it and this video is so scary to those who r suffering from this condition man thats not nice

@HuATTK the boogey mans real. He lives under my bed. Hes the bastard that strangles me when I'm in sleep paralysis. Thats the only logical explanation haha. People with SP don't need medical help they just need to calm the fuck down and realize that you can't die in sleep paralysis. Just lay there long enough and you'll start dreaming then if the old hag or shadow rapist is still messing with you, you can get some revenge.
ampikine 5 months ago
@HuATTK no you are a scared bitch who uses excused , its called denial , what do you tell someone who can hear and see the same things when awake ? same bullshit as the people who want to hide the truth they use psych as an excuse. your pathetic
AlienUFOEncounters 4 months ago
@AlienUFOEncounters You know.... If you see strange things when you wake up, make sure you have a webcam to record it, so you can show to others. "There, there, see? That's Freddie Kruger, man!" That's all well and good to tease the kids but, if you want that problem to go away, you can, by getting help from a doctor. If left untreated, and the problem persists, then you might face repercussion as this hallucination comes from oxygen deprivation. But you go ahead and believe whatever you like.
HuATTK 4 months ago
@HuATTK you dont listen to well and i bet thats because your in denial and scared so making jokes makes you feel better, i am no longer harassed by them , not in 12 years.( no drug dealing "doctor" needed) and im not going to act like a schizo and keep a stupid recorder around for you . you will see as all will see what i allready know , the moment you die ,
AlienUFOEncounters 4 months ago
@AlienUFOEncounters Old boy, from what everybody can see in your writing, you are the very definition of a schizo, someone who believes in his own delusions and coming on to the internet jumping and cussing at anyone who can't join in on your hallucinations. To prove that you're not hallucinating you need to show some evidence. If you can even bother to set up a webcam or something, then you're just another foaming at the mouth loonie bin.

I strongly believe i have one of the worst cases of sleep paralyses, and i am terrified of the incubus that assults me! ..its terrifying!
BedazzleGlitterGal 5 months ago
I haven't had sleep paralysis in about 3 years, I used to have them every single day, beware of the 3:15 am time, for some reason this is the usual time when I use to get them, followed by nightmares and allucinations, I would wake up and see spiders, red lizards, snakes coming out of my bed. I would look for them, but after a while I would just get tired and say, fckt. just fckn come and byte me or eat me, but just let me sleep.
1800levso 5 months ago
face your fears and it all go away, next time you are sleep paralysis, you would have wonderful alucinations, it's just a state of mind and brain disorder. if you are afraid, it only means that you are hunted by your own fears, and it would get as worst as you let them be, but no matter what you see, if is real or not, you are in charge of your own mind, you are not alone. worst thing that can happen to an individual is loosing his mind. be strong and face your fears, laugh at them if you can.
1800levso 5 months ago
Alright some people say it is demons haunting you and some say it is aliens abducting or experimenting on you it is all bullshit what happens is your body thinks your asleep along with your mind your eyes are still open you are basically half asleep and half awake the hallucinations are the progections in your head caused by REM you can also fall asleep really fast by tricking your body into thinking its asleep by not moving atall with your eyesclosed you mind then realizes it

did anyone else see the pentagram after the first paragraph
metaldethknight666 6 months ago 4

Just shows how we as humans are always afriad and fear what we don't know.
truthseeker010101 7 months ago
She would gently tell me to hush, to stop trying to move. I used to try and talk with her, but of course I couldn't, so I would just sit there and relax. It was amazing. I might be the only "victim" who feels blessed!
IHartPie101 7 months ago
I used to get sleep paralysis all the time when I was young...I don't remember ever telling anyone until now. I was really little so I don't remember much, but from the times I do remember I wasn't scared. It had happened many times before, so I got used to it. I felt like a tall thin ghost lady was by my bed. At first she seemed to be threatening, but I would get used to her presence and trust her as a friend. She would reach out to me and talk to me. In retrospect it was kinda cool, actually.
IHartPie101 7 months ago
@IHartPie101 I did too, when I was young. I still get them now, but not often. They are a piece of cake when you realize it is just your brain waking up a bit 'out of sync.' According to my Mayo doc, your brain paralyzes your body to prevent sleep walking, kicking and flailing, etc. But if you have too much anxiety you wake up too quickly, before the paralyzation can be reversed. Some people have this problem which slipping into sleep, the body paralyzes too soon and they become aware of it

I hate layin in bed with your laptop and you can't see shit in the room, because the screen is too bright

OMG when i have sleep paralysis i get talked to in some wierd voice telling me im a horrible person im a slut.. etc.. i thought i was having some wierd schitzophrenic wake up situation.. :/
xxmetioqurexx 8 months ago
not shore that the elements used in the video complemented an don't fear sign to the sleep action though if most of it's true then that exsplains my paralysis when i keep waking up. though i only thought that it was me cutting off blood in my body till no sleeping position worked.
don't know why anyone would fear this just shake it off of your body when your able to half move and it helps. though fear is a hard thing to shake. and i guess that i'm just used to nightmares my whole life.

@DiSanto0 damn thats exactly how i described my first attack to my doctor!!! i heard a strange garbaling noise like the alien language from the fourth kind!!!
jaws5263 6 months ago
@jaws5263 same, it happends to me everynight now im used to it it doesnt even bother me anymore, but i also felt like i heard planes crazshing right outside myhouse and my head felt like it was vubrating, almost like someone is putting a jackhammer to the back of my head
DiSanto0 6 months ago
@DiSanto0 I've had that feeling before, accompanied by a buzzing sound IIRC. As it happened a long time ago, the thing I remember the most is the incredible vibration that was going on in my head. I told my dad about it, but he said I was just dreaming. I assured him I was fully awake when it happened, and he didn't really have an answer for that.
OneEyedJack1970 5 months ago
@DiSanto0 hahaha i think it happened to me at that exact time too ! but im not sure xDD
nothing to worry about though ;P

@DiSanto0 SP is only one stage, which is after lucid dreaming and before astral travel. It should not last too long (this stage), if it does, then you are not letting go (from fear). Your soul is looking for something and it cannot find what its looking for if you cannot make it past the sleep paralysis state
DeathShamans 2 months ago
when you enter REM sleep you are temerarly paralyzed SP is simply REM sleep while your awake for a short amount of time

Thank u for scaring the SHIT out of ppl...u need to learn to go with it an let the fear go...after that u are in controll....and it gets to be alot of fun, being able to go anywere in the world in a blink of an eye.

PENTAGRAM!!!
OH SNAP!!!

Why is this video trying to scare people? I'm 17 years old and have narcolepsy and cataplexy....these so called "disturbing sleep attacks" are just hypnagogic hallucinations. Stop trying to make it out to be something to do with the devil and that people who have it are scared that they'll be labelled as mental; you're giving them false information.
lilmisslili1 1 year ago 58
@lilmisslili1 It seems to me like you took his music selection for his reasoning. In this video he said everything you just said... and he only mentioned that other people call it that. Its fun being scared of the "unknown" and it adds another interesting twist to it. This man OBVIOUSLY does not believe that its caused by demons.
paulmanperson2 9 months ago

AlienUFOEncounters 4 months ago
@lilmisslili1
i don't think the video said that.
