The first time I heard him sing this was on a recording made around this time. I'd previously only heard him on 1970's Christmas specials, and although I though he had a really nice voice, in a grandpa sort of way, I knew nothing of his earlier work, and was totally unprepared for what I was about to hear, when I brought his vintage-era Christmas collection home from the store. The incredibly rich, virile ringing tone that came from my speakers that afternoon absolutely floored me.

@justabrit His son Gary said he was an abuser but his other son Phillip denied his father was an abuser till the day he died. My Grandmother knew him as a child he was good friends with her family and she said he was nothing but nice, he was strict but fair and a real nice man.

Frank was the leader of the Rat Pack & Frank called Bing in books & interviews, "The Father of his career." High praise from Frank. Look at Dean's laid-back style & easy-flowing baritone. Where'd he get that style? Bing. They all loved Bing & Bing liked them alot too.....I guess you'd say Bing was on the outside-looking in. Bing was a family man by Rat Pack time (2 boys and Mary Frances), so he wasn't a part of the Las Vegas, up-all-night-drunken shenanigans at this time.
