As the stresses of that migration escalate as do the stresses of cultural assimilation, unchecked development and environmental degradation that are associated with it
@KHADROLA China is no great moral entity and Tibet should be free. But under the rule of a Dalai Lama: the people will just suffer under slavery. This Dalai Lama has been forced into being a beacon of morality. The next Lama, if given control and the status of a god over an entire nation would not be the same. Power corrupts. Form a democracy. Form a republic. Hell: Even if you must have a god-king, make your government a constitutional monarchy. Just don't willingly enslave yourselves.

A signed article by Sheila Shigley published on April 1 pointed out that the 14th Dalai Lama's "retirement" rhetoric was merely a political farce and a contemptible show.
The article notes that the quitting from the "political or administrative functions" of the 76-year-old Dalai Lama is a "slap on the face" toward the politicians of the U.S. and other western countries.

Obviously, since 1980s, western politicians have frequently met with the Dalai Lama, disregarding the strong objection of the Chinese government, with a high-sounding excuse: the Dalai Lama is "a respectable religious leader".
When western politicians mean to label the Dalai Lama’s recent political move as "democratic", it is probably because they have not realized that the Dalai Lama’s "retirement" is simply sarcasm to their long held pretext.

Despite the Dalai Lama’s separatist and violent terrorist activities which in fact have already revealed his identity as a political exile, Yi Duo, the writer of this article takes a look at the articles of the “Charter of the Tibetans-in-Exile”, which specially prescribe the political rights of the Dalai Lama.
The article says, the prescribed political rights of the lama have far exceeded the power of any political leader on earth.

This "Charter" made in 1991 stipulates in Article 3: This Charter … assented to by the Dalai Lama shall come into force on the day appointed by the Dalai Lama, and the future Tibetan polity shall …through the dual system of government.
Article 19 stipulates that the executive power shall be vested in the Dalai Lama, and shall be exercised by Him, either directly or through officers subordinate to Him. In particular,

Article 30 stipulates that all executive business of the Tibetan Administration shall be conducted in the name of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Based on the analysis of the role designed for the Dalai Lama in the "Charter", which till now is in full effect in the Dalai clique, the article says "the so-called 'Tibet Administration in Exile' is anything but 'democracy, freedom, human rights'.

It is convincing to believe that other than fitting to the western "universal values", the "Tibet Administration in Exile" is absolutely a totalitarian autarchy dominated by a gang of illegal theocratic enthusiasts who were led by the Dalai Lama as the ringleader.

@HHTHEDALAILAMA You figh for their freedom of slavery? 13 guies just blindly support the beatiful call of freedom request. Dont forget how Osama Bin Laden’s power getting stronger in history (US use his force to fight agianst Russia).
“We’ve been closely following developments in relations between the Chinese leadership and the Dalai Lama and we know that the Chinese leadership would like the Dalai Lama not to be associated with any political activities and to distance himself from separatist trends,” Lavrov told the Federation Council, Russia’s upper house of parliament, as reported by state-run news agency RIA Novosti
Seen as a major policy shift, Russia said last week that it was ready to assist in dialogue between China and the Dalai Lama, the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, to resolve the Tibet issue.
Moscow’s gesture puzzled many, including Beijing and the Tibetan government in exile. Why did Russia – a strategic partner of China – suddenly become so eager to involve itself in the Tibet issue?
tibet was once china's, than lost, and now gained. u ignorent westerners are brainwashed by the news and media. bias on the chinese goverment fuels the idea tibet is independent. dont be so blind as to listen to all ur goverment tells u with our thinking of the other side of the story
@ervin920 And I see you yourself have been brainwashed into thinking you can put all "westerners" into a single category, tha we all think alike, that were all ignorant.
The west is quite a varied place friend, it spans several continents and centuries of different cultures. As I am sure is the same with the east.
The things we could learn if only some of us would stop pounding our chests with patriotic pride and pointing fingers at other nations.
@Vildasnaga well do u know what the lama did to tibet? he enslaved his people and lead a very brutal regime. if u didn't know this than u are ignorrent. if u did, good for u
Visitors to Tibet often remark on the apparent freedom of religious practice. Prayer Flags flutter on the tops of buildings and every home has an altar. But despite the apparent signs of religious freedom, the Chinese Communist Party remains fundamentally hostile to religion. While Chinese leaders have spoken of a "freedom to believe" policy in Tibet, the Communist Party has spoken of "too much religious activity in the area" and wants to curb the numbers entering the monasteries.
The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man..Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived." Do you know when/where HH said this statement?
I went to Jasper, Alberta, Canada once & there was a busload of these guys. They were unloading as i went by. I said to myself "oh no the hairy kirshnas are here this weekend to"Then i tought krishnas wear pink robes these guys have red they were Tibetain.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama Clarifies Statement on Retirement "More than 99 per cent of Tibetans in and outside Tibet trust me, so I have the moral responsibility to serve them. My call for complete retirement does not mean that I will forget the Tibetan struggle. I am a Tibetan and every Tibetan has the moral obligation to carry out our own struggle,"
He reiterated that efforts to resolve the issue of Tibet would remain one of his three commitments.
At about 1:19 tp 1:20 , the picture of that little kid, was that Dalai lama when he was little?, nonetheless whoever that was looked so cute and chubby.
Those who exposed secrets of china, like Dalai Lama and Mr liu , who were awarded Nobel peace prize. Contrary, when stupid Wikileaks,Julian Assange peacefully chose to expose secrets of USA and the west will then face persecution and arrest by the west. Think about the logic why. If u re clever enough, you should understand why prisoner or anyone up against their own countries will be awarded with nobel peace prize. Norwegian should grant NobelPeacePrize to Julian if to be fair!!!
It's funny how many people would go to someone to find questions to their answers, someone who says "i don't know". because simply he just doesn't know, i respect that about Dalai Lama. Shame on the world that idolizes him, calls him God. Bible talks about people like him, the end is so near that we are actually calling those God who wants to retire. Even a true pastor never wants to retire, how can someone that wants "peace and harmony" retire? I pray Jesus have mercy on those who idolizes him.
its funny how much the people from this age watches these video but the stupid useless videos like a fat guy dancing has about 15-17 ages both female and male. more teenss need to watch a video with more meaning.
@marilyn1230 : i'm 25 years old, you forgot my age group lol but then again u just might be discriminating against the youth...Any how, the youth of our nation doesn't know about these things because the government floods their minds with meeting school standards as apposed to studying real life liberal arts or other cultures. instead they have to me requirements to meet the state standards and on top they go home and watch tv that has nothing to do with real life.
- he has written over 70 books to flood the markets to steal money from people
- if he truly knew anything significant he would be able to summarize it in one book (with perhaps a revision to that one book every decade)
- if he cared about humanity he wouldnt be charging high prices for his books and he wouldnt be pumping out more and more books every year to waste more and more of his readers time and money
@JazistheGreatest i got like three or four books, monks where handing them out, i see plenty about him on youtube. plenty Ebooks and Audio to be found ill send you links if you want.
Plus im not the one to Judge a man like that for his doings,
if he wants to make millions to help his cause he Can. Im for it.
Id rather see him rich then Some Powertripper on a rampage.
@JazistheGreatest People Love to play the fault finder role dont they. Like the validity of someones teachings is comprimised when he gets driven around or Gets a nice hotel room.
@Vildasnaga well, forgive me, I can only speak for myself on this one, i Give anyone high Consideration Who speaks Of peace and love in a world of termoil. And i will revere Anyone who Puts that Into practise.
@lucius215 My own opinion is that, while of course it would be lovely if we could do away with hate and war, we never will, its part of human nature. The sooner we accept that the sooner we can put measures in place to counteract it. Trying to suppress or hide our nature is not only dishonest but very dangerous
I distrust the Lama for he insists on seeing humanity as something it sadly is not, we are only just on the brink of savagery, and only by acknowledging that can we avoid falling into it
@Vildasnaga i Understand your Opinion Very well. i Know my dark side excists and i will not lie and say its not there, and i also wont surpress it, whenever it acts up i 'feel' it through and the need to act upon it melts like snow in the sun. as an active meditation if you will. works great for me. Im not a buddhist, but ill recognise the essence of its teachings Offer the Counter measure You are speaking of. many ways to rome tho right. its Indeed something that needs more attention .
@Vildasnaga As an Anthropologist, it is evident that the use of violence & war has almost entirely been restricted to the last 10-15,000 yrs of our existence. That may seem like a large amount of time, yet it's actually only about 1% of our existence on the planet. Before the advent of agriculture (considered by Diamond to be humanity's worst mistake), we were egalitarian hunter-gatherers, almost entirely peaceful & considered non-sharing to be the greatest offense. That is our TRUE nature.
@runicpeace Tribal nomadic humans waged war, raided and pillaged just as much as any sedentary humans did. I dont know where youre getting this peaceful idyllic past from.
The advent of humanities "greatest mistake" allowed us to develop technology and knowledge beyond anything we could ever do as nomads.
And if that ideal past was our TRUE nature, how come we are what we are now? No one intended us to end up how we are, we are how we are today because THIS is who we are.
@Vildasnaga I'm an Archaeologist; I study past peoples as a career. Hunter-gatherers physical remains have been studied in many locations over vast expanses of time. VERY few remains have been found to indicate trauma or violence committed against their bodies; plus, people were egalitarian-there was little to fight over. It's not about being ideal; it's about truth. Hunter-gatherers had technology & knowledge of lots of things. They were also taller & generally healthier than modern peoples.
@Vildasnaga & 99% of existence as egalitarian hunter-gatherers vs. 1% of existence as war-waging, property-staking, HUGE carb/protein eating, sedentary village, town & city dwellers...I think the 99% wins as our true nature. We are in our current set of circumstances due to the domestication of plants & animals (which gave us most of our severe/deadly diseases & viruses), along with all of the reasons I listed above. If you wish to continue this conversation, feel free to private message me.
@JazistheGreatest You are wrong....I have downloaded dozens of "free" books from him....he is not personally getting rich from his books....what money is made goes to the cause, not the man. If you dont personally agree with someones politics or spirituality, thats one thing, but to flap your gums about something you have very little knowledge of is quite another. Try doing some research first, next time. Them maybe you wont look like the fool that you do now. Namaste.
@lucius215 I did not intend to post the stupidity comment towards you...YOU seem rather level headed...lol! It was intended for JazistheGreatest.... Namaste, my friend.

The Dalai Lama on Monday criticised China's irate response to the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to jailed dissident Liu Xiaobo, Kyodo News reported in Tokyo.
Speaking at Tokyo's Narita airport, the Dalai Lama, said “the Chinese government does not appreciate different opinions at all".
He also said “building an open, transparent society is the only way to save all people of China but that some "hardliners" inside the leadership were stuck in an "old way of thinking,"

Why is it everytime I hear the Dali lama speak ..he sounds like Yoda from star wars...
But in all honesty if you are a true buddist..then doesnt the material thing such as a country become irrelevant. What should be more important is what is in your mind and your soul.??
Im just a simple man...and I enjoy simple pleasures..its just a question I have been pondering over a long time.
@grikes3838 I don't think it's a matter of needing/wanting a material country that they want their independence. The chinese have come in to their country, and attempted to obliterate the Tibetan people and their culture. It's hard to have a sound mind and soul when you are being violently persecuted.
@Snoot501 I am no expert but I have been to Tibet. As a tourist, not as an investigative journalist. I have not really seen any perscuation. I didn't really see any mass crackdown or civil unrest. What I did see was a bright new railway which I was told cost millions to link Lahsa to the rest of China and a vibrant econmy.
Yes I suppose you are right maybe China has destroyed Tibtean culture for the elite Lama class. Its a small price to pay to free the serfs and slaves from a feudal autocracy
Could you please just do not ues pictures of North korean army to pretent that they are chinese army.Does fraudulence make ant sence? Or you just can not testify that DALAI lAMA is a god without cheating.
TIBET is a Holy and blessed Land. TIBET is being Terrorized by the Evill CCP Regime. TIBET is illegally occupied By China. TIBET belongs to the Tibetans Buddhists. The Tibetans have Tremendous support in the world because the Tibetan Cause is based on TRUTH AND JUSTICE. The Tibetans will never give up their fight for the Freedom of TIBET! End the suffering of the Tibetan people. Return the right of self-determination to the Tibetans.
For all of you that didn't like this video, you're simply us another motherly being. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama lives a simple live on spreading genuine love and compassion and the teachings of the Buddha. He is not a god, but a true bodhisatta who has been living in suffering among us so long as that would relieve our suffering. Many thanks to his Holiness and may all motherly beings be freed from suffering and be imbued with happiness and all its causes.
The Dalai Lama does not want independence but autonomy within China. This is a major point people tend to ignore. The world map at the United Nations in 1945 shows Tibet as China, four years before the People's Republic of China was created. I highly recommend that you search "Battle of China" in Youtube and watch that U.S. government-commissioned documentary from 1944. After 3 minutes, it shows how the US saw China's territory. The CIA helped Tibet only to fight communism and then dumped it.
“Having occupied Tibet, the Chinese Communist government carried out a series of repressive and violent campaigns that have included “democratic” reform, class struggle, communes, the Cultural Revolution, the imposition of martial law, and more recently the patriotic re-education and the strike hard campaigns. These thrust Tibetans into such depths of suffering and hardship that they literally experienced hell on earth”
Tibet was not an ideal society before, but if Liberation and progress means murder, torture, and the attempt to wipe away an old and distinct culture that was loved by the people and clearly still is and forced thousands of them into involuntary exile, then it's not the kind of liberation and progress that has any legitimate place in this world.
cuz he kills Tibetan. he should be responsible for the casualty of all those riots. and stop asking me pointless questions. i don't want to argue with ppl about this anymore, cuz you are brainwashed by too many anti-China propagandas around you. even a school kid knows his tricks in China. don't tell me your brain is worse than a underage kid. so cmon stop being unreasonable and save some time for me.
China must change her policy in Tibet otherwise time will come when China will lose Tibet. Why USSR gone 14 parts???
China can rule Tibet with love proper undestanding. With power and millitary China can not rule Tibet very long.Tibetans are not chinese. Both are totally different peoples, different languages, different culture and tradions, different nation.

Dalai Lamas remain source of inspiration and hope for Tibetans in the past as well as at the present. DL is now a source of inspiration and hope for millions all over the world. Simply because he speaks the truth and bears compassions towards all which also includes the Chinese people.
"No matter how strong lies are, truth will always prevail"
Most of Tibetans hate Chinks and wish them to fuck off from Tibet.
-Wealthier, healther=only in Urban Area of CHINKS not Tibetans.
-Communist education= Not need for Tibetans.
As Tibetans value of life depends upon spirituality of Buddhism, as it is precious cultural tradition of the whole world. Not material wealth can replace it.
Dalai-lama=who is the respected spiritual ideal figurea, and essential identily of Tibetan people.
@TibetJames Tibet has more freedom now than it ever had. Under the Lamas, 95% of the Tibetan people were illiterate in Tibetan. Their sole occupations were as farm laborers and yak herders. Now more than 90% are literate in Tibetan, and have a much greater range of occupational opportunities.
@jimgzorn U r talking about before 1959 when China attacked Tibet.Don't U know what China was before 1959.More than two millions died of starvations due to Mao's wrong policy.
Tibet was farmer and herders what China was those days???
After the occupation of TibetCommunist regime has tried to wipe out tibetan culture, traditions, religion and language but they didn't succeeded. After the Ting Shaophen it was bit better but than again in Hu jian tao's time Tibet is suffering like Maos time.
Dalai Lama is a cold war relic. He needs to really work for world peace instead of doing all the double talk. He must be worried about his karma from all the lies he told.
let's talk about freedom of Ireland, or separation of Scotland or wales or a state of USA... why china now? they didn't threw neucs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki!
@tootoontanbaku In theory I agree to the principle of self determination. On a prima facie level you're objection is easy to resolve. USA in fact has already been separated... from Britain. And all states after signed in into the federal nation. It was a mutual agreement to stay and USA is in deed one nation. Scotland and Wales are not demanding independence, firstly. But secondly, they do have strong historical ties. Tibet on the other hand is invaded by China in 1950s. The history has been...
@tootoontanbaku ...skewed by China from the start. If you are honest to yourself and have an open mind, history never made Tibet a part of China. Tibet had trading relations and diplomatic relations with China throughout later dynasties, but was not ruled by China. But even if these all still don't appeal, I believe, from the start, self determination. If the Scots or the Native Indians can prove their respective governments neglectful, then by all means I am FOR their independence.
His Holiness The Dalai Lama is concerned about the freedom, peace and happiness of the six million Tibetan people and the future of the most precious, profound culture in the world, which preserves the entire teaching of the Buddha: both the Lesser Vehicle and the Great Vehicle Sutra and Secret Mantra.
@vampirehx1011 You're a very strong and independent person. I have been campaigning with international students for years. Rarely has chinese people come forward desiring to learn the truth. The truth is all around, books, internet and in documentaries. Have an open mind. Know that you are not betraying the people of your country. The only way to make your country stronger is to criticize its wrong-doings. China needs some of that.
No matter how zealously the Chinese government tries to rewrite its own history in regards to Tibet, its incapable of rewriting the history of other nations, of other historians, and individuals who bore witness to the atrocities perpetrated on the Tibetan people by the Chinese government.
@sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf I don't think Kings are bad, a true king is a servent of its people, I just think all we seen was tyrants not kings. They can call themself a king, but most were tyrants.
I beleive even egypt a Pharaoh was the same, they had to earn thier right, not be born in it, yet it became that, passed it to thier family, and forgeting the principles of a King.
@IMBUED Then again, all systems will fail or be corrupted in time, cause thats the nature of those type people, to control, and they'll find thier way to, no matter the political system. The cowards want to conquer others.
There is no evidence that karma transfers into a fetus, a newborn baby, or into another world. Karma is just volition and is probably the most misunderstood term in all of Buddhism. The Buddhist "doctrine of karma" implies that an intentional action (karma) is a cause that gives a result. The karma becomes a seed that bears fruit (an effect or result). This karmic process (Karma Niyama) can be instant. Buddhism boldly claims it can also extend into another life. This last part is based on faith

Visitors to Tibet often remark on the apparent freedom of religious practice. Prayer Flags flutter on the tops of buildings and every home has an altar. But despite the apparent signs of religious freedom, the Chinese Communist Party remains fundamentally hostile to religion. While Chinese leaders have spoken of a "freedom to believe" policy in Tibet, the Communist Party has spoken of "too much religious activity in the area" and wants to curb the numbers entering the monasteries.

Shame on the world that idolizes him, calls him God. Bible talks about people like him, the end is so near that we are actually calling those God who wants to retire. - the 14th dalai lama is a thief

@lucius215 My own opinion is that, while of course it would be lovely if we could do away with hate and war, we never will, its part of human nature. The sooner we accept that the sooner we can put measures in place to counteract it. Trying to suppress or hide our nature is not only dishonest but very dangerous
I distrust the Lama for he insists on seeing humanity as something it sadly is not, we are only just on the brink of savagery, and only by acknowledging that can we avoid falling into it
Vildasnaga 1 year ago
@Vildasnaga i Understand your Opinion Very well. i Know my dark side excists and i will not lie and say its not there, and i also wont surpress it, whenever it acts up i 'feel' it through and the need to act upon it melts like snow in the sun. as an active meditation if you will. works great for me. Im not a buddhist, but ill recognise the essence of its teachings Offer the Counter measure You are speaking of. many ways to rome tho right. its Indeed something that needs more attention .
lucius215 1 year ago
@Vildasnaga As an Anthropologist, it is evident that the use of violence & war has almost entirely been restricted to the last 10-15,000 yrs of our existence. That may seem like a large amount of time, yet it's actually only about 1% of our existence on the planet. Before the advent of agriculture (considered by Diamond to be humanity's worst mistake), we were egalitarian hunter-gatherers, almost entirely peaceful & considered non-sharing to be the greatest offense. That is our TRUE nature.
runicpeace 10 months ago
@runicpeace Tribal nomadic humans waged war, raided and pillaged just as much as any sedentary humans did. I dont know where youre getting this peaceful idyllic past from.
The advent of humanities "greatest mistake" allowed us to develop technology and knowledge beyond anything we could ever do as nomads.
And if that ideal past was our TRUE nature, how come we are what we are now? No one intended us to end up how we are, we are how we are today because THIS is who we are.
Vildasnaga 10 months ago
@Vildasnaga I'm an Archaeologist; I study past peoples as a career. Hunter-gatherers physical remains have been studied in many locations over vast expanses of time. VERY few remains have been found to indicate trauma or violence committed against their bodies; plus, people were egalitarian-there was little to fight over. It's not about being ideal; it's about truth. Hunter-gatherers had technology & knowledge of lots of things. They were also taller & generally healthier than modern peoples.
runicpeace 10 months ago
@Vildasnaga & 99% of existence as egalitarian hunter-gatherers vs. 1% of existence as war-waging, property-staking, HUGE carb/protein eating, sedentary village, town & city dwellers...I think the 99% wins as our true nature. We are in our current set of circumstances due to the domestication of plants & animals (which gave us most of our severe/deadly diseases & viruses), along with all of the reasons I listed above. If you wish to continue this conversation, feel free to private message me.

To put in the nutshell;
Tibet has been ruled by Tibetan kings for thousands of years.
Tibet is an independent country before the Chinese invasion.
Dalai Lama is in exile because of the Chinese invasion.
Dalai Lama has 100% right to struggle for his country and people.
Therefore it is your own responsibility to make sure, you have really studied properly before giving any comments which might mislead the public.
MrPeace1959 1 year ago
@MrPeace1959 - Tibet was part of China for thousands of years before the invasion of foreign countries in the 1900s, China regained it back.
Dalai Lama made his own people into slaves.
Dalai Lama tortured millions of people.
Most people don't know the truth, then research the truth.
DalaiLamaTruth 1 year ago
As simple as this;
Dalai Lamas remain source of inspiration and hope for Tibetans in the past as well as at the present. DL is now a source of inspiration and hope for millions all over the world. Simply because he speaks the truth and bears compassions towards all which also includes the Chinese people.
"No matter how strong lies are, truth will always prevail"

Cut bullshit, you faggot CHINK brainwasher.

TibetJames 1 year ago

After the Ting Shaophen it was bit better but than again in Hu jian tao's time Tibet is suffering like Maos time.

let's talk about freedom of Ireland, or separation of Scotland or wales or a state of USA... why china now? they didn't threw neucs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki!
tootoontanbaku 1 year ago
@tootoontanbaku In theory I agree to the principle of self determination. On a prima facie level you're objection is easy to resolve. USA in fact has already been separated... from Britain. And all states after signed in into the federal nation. It was a mutual agreement to stay and USA is in deed one nation. Scotland and Wales are not demanding independence, firstly. But secondly, they do have strong historical ties. Tibet on the other hand is invaded by China in 1950s. The history has been...
PrimeParadox 1 year ago
@tootoontanbaku ...skewed by China from the start. If you are honest to yourself and have an open mind, history never made Tibet a part of China. Tibet had trading relations and diplomatic relations with China throughout later dynasties, but was not ruled by China. But even if these all still don't appeal, I believe, from the start, self determination. If the Scots or the Native Indians can prove their respective governments neglectful, then by all means I am FOR their independence.

vampirehx1011 1 year ago

@maxkombarov okay kings are bad because when you pick them at birth it will make them crazy... but people never really thought a king was holy...
but the Dalia Lama is holy and picked at a young age... and if you want to see what they will do go back 70 years
sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf 1 year ago
