  • What bass is this

  • @SimulacronX It is a 5 string. Does anyone have the answer yet, of what brand it is? I couldn't see any markings on it (headstock, etc.). Looks somewhat Alembic-y, but probably not. Who knows??

  • @hkyoutoob I found out it's most probably a Wal Custom 5-string.

  • @SimulacronX Yes, you're correct. Anyone bas players out there, should find the wikipedia page on Wal bass guitras to be very interesting. They are very expensive, and made in England. They've been around for quite some time. Relatively few were made, making them scarce, according to what I read.

  • @hkyoutoob Wal is interesting indeed. Do you know Jonas Hellborg? I suggest his record "E", which is fabulous. He played Wals for a very long time. You can hear the pure, fresh, funky, edgy sound of his Wal on that record very well.

  • @hkyoutoob

    It's a Wal Bass.

  • Linda RIP

  • @MariMagdalen Yes, too bad Linda is still not alive. Then, Paul would have never married the gold digging bitch who took $40 Million of his money. She never loved him... just wanted his money. Bitch!!

  • libreconscience, 4FabBEATLES, DandamanV: The drummer is Christopher Whitten. He was with Paul's band for the "Flowers In The Dirt" album and tour in 1989-1990. (I saw Paul perform (with Chris) in Chicago on July 29, 1990, just before I turned 13.)

Chris then toured with Dire Straits on their final world tour from 1991-1992.

He has also been the drummer with various musicians such as Tom Jones, Johnny Cash, The Pretenders, ABC and The The.

  • Happy Birthday Red,

    From your bother Alan

I look forward to seeing you today for lunch.

  • S E X Y ! ! !

  • kunsági Melinda

  • Nice to find it,i miss this day i was there

  • Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn he sounds cobbed the hell out here! He actually sounds better doing this many years later like at the Russian concerts.

  • I preffer Ringo´s intro

  • Well, it is not Wings. This is a Paul McCartney solo World tour in 1990. But McCartney has always done his own stuff when in Wings as well. :)

  • the drummer looks like Dave Weckl......great player !

  • wow- this is rare- WIngs rarely ever did Beatles songs- it must've been Paul

    s birthday (June 18)

  • @4FabBEATLES This wasn't Wings.

  • Happy Birthday, Paul! :)

  • who is the drummer? he is amazing !

  • @libreconscience Abe Laboriel Jr. is the drummer- he also plays with Eric Clapton's band sometimes

  • @4FabBEATLES This guy is white. Abe is black and HUGE!

  • @manbigus That's what she said :P

  • @4FabBEATLES I dont think this is Abe... Abe is a larger latino man, this is a small white guy.

  • 2 b honest i not that fond of hamish i think he over did his role i say

  • wings were better musicians

Jimmy mc culluch rip and joe english.

sorry sir but those musicians are not my cip of tea

  • Thanks for this Laura

Yep "Another Year Bites The Dust " Lol !!!!

    Great share

    Luv You

  • How sad it would be around that time because certainly, these guyes suck - except for Paul or course, but the band looks messed up....can't wait till' his original band band from today save the world.

  • Paul certainly has that '80s look.

  • me acuerdo muy bien esta cancion en vivo la pasaban mucho a finales de 1,990 que gran recuerdo aquellos PAUL McCARTNEY ...IS GREAT .

  • They said, all the "heavies" were back stage cryin when Maca hit the stage that day, he hadn't done any Beatles songs live in 25 yrs or more. Luv you Paul

  • @debzeppeliniv but he had done a few Beatles songs- not many but a few like All My Loving,Please PLease Me, Golden Slumbers and other old Beatles songs Wings played

  • you say it's your bithday!
