Máire Philomena Ní Bhraonáin, better known as Máire Brennan or Moya Brennan began her singing career when her family formed the band Clannad in 1970.

Yep: two of nine kids whose parents were Leo and Olive Brennan. Maire is the lead singer of Clannad, a family band that featured two of her brothers, and two other relatives from her mother's side. Enya played keyboards and sang backup for this outfit for two years, before doing her own thing.
