Bill Kanengiser, in an interview:

"At From an interview with one point when I was studying with Pepe I asked him, "What do I need to work on, and how can I get as good as you?" He said, "Bill, don't try to be a second best Pepe Romero. You have to be the best Bill Kanengiser." That was really important. I have to give him a lot of credit for that. He was saying, at some point you have to stop emulating me. You become your own person, your own artist. You have to discover your own voice.

What Ray is doing is very commendable. He is carrying on the Segovia legacy. He knows more of this technique than anyone. Much would be lost without a champion such as Ray. Segovia would be pleased and that is enough!!!

Certainly commendable and gorgeous playing and there´s no gimmick here; not like a person who does impressions. No one plays like this anymore (that may be too bad(, even though there was (or is still) a certain Manuel López Ramos who sort of played like this and also carries (or carried) on the Segovia legacy. At any rate, I believe Mr. Reussner really deserves to be better known, because what he does is amazing.

This is so Segovia it´s actually scary; to the last detail. This is not following in the footsteps; it´s having the same feet, the same steps, the same...well..the same everything. If I didn´t know who´s playing, I´d be fooled. Unfortunately, without having anything bad to say about Mr. Reussner´s playing, I feel something is wrong here. Musical cloning?

It seems to me there are maybe five guitarists who can play with this level of mature understanding of the music and expression. The older Segovia, Mr. Reussner here, and I cannot think of the other three. Parkening comes close, but not quite. Alirio Diaz maybe, but he's a very different stylist.
