Help!! I'm trying to remove my listing but it won't let me! I've followed the directions on the website and the directions on here and this is the error I get: "Email search removal verification may only be sent to the address being removed. Email must be ______" <----my email is on there. I get this error each time I try to do this for each of my emails listed! They have my listing, I can see my pictures, blogs but it won't allow me to remove it! What am I doing wrong? Please reply!

I'll have another video up in a few days listing more sites like spokeo and how to check for and remove your personal information (if there's any there.) About a half dozen other sites of a similar nature were brought to my attention, and I plan on investigating each one, it's accuracy and if/how one can remove themselves from that listing. Once complete I will post up here a video on how to get clear of these sites.

Thank you so much for notifying me of this. I went and searched the site and yep, I was there. Funny though, didn't know I made over 150k a year and was a cook. Didn't know I was married as well O_o. Anyway, removed it and now no longer under spokeo's radar. I'm gonna probably redirect some of my friends to this video and or tell them right up to remove their info from the website.

@multani82 Well, if you "like" that (like is relative, of course) then you'll want to keep an eye out for the video I'm going to put up here in a few days (as soon as I can find the time... working much in upcoming days). One of my long-time watchers sent me a PM with a list of about another half-dozen sites of a similar nature.

I need a little time to look into each one and figure the removal process (if there is one) for each, so that when I make the vid I can tell you all about it.

That site had me listed twice! And it said I was married in both profiles. I have never been married..... and I wish I made $200K a year. It also said I have family members that don't exist living in MY house; it had a picture of my house and everything. Where are these people getting their facts?

@jave042 A little investigation with SquareWand provided the theory that some information is getting merged. If family members have similar names or use similar accounts for a given service at some point, it seems to merge the content for those people...

It's not 100% for sure, but it still has info that most people probably don't want being shared, which is why I felt the need to draw attention to it.
