  • otro nivel de musica.. ¡'¡'¡' arriba ..

  • Ok i don't like these type of comments when i see them, but i just have to in this instance....

Thumbs up if Dan Auerbach from The Black Keys brought you here!...

  • FIRST ( & only ) instrumental group..to my knowledge that had a dance step to go with this tune...when in Regina, Saskatchewan,Canada several decades ago..when Jimmy Gilmer was with them & performed vocals.

  • i found my copy from 1960 in the attic in amongst a bag full of 45s....it still sounds good....

  • @TheCharlieholt

It would be nice if you could upload 45's that are

not yet uploaded on here, to share with us!!

    Thanx!!

    R from NL

  • COOL!

  • Sign me up as a Teddy Boy

  • 1 disliker cant surf. wait, neither can i. oh well, i still like this.

  • Still another 45 I meant to buy (for 89 cents) but never did. This style pre-dates that of the Surf Music era but not by much.

  • so tight and clean

  • cway cooool dude hahaha amazing,my feet move...

  • Dig this.

  • Both the Duals and Ventures versions came out after this one, it's one thing to cover a song but the Duals actually claimed authorship. The Fireballs were so much better than the Duals, their chart success speaks for its self.

  • Badd Ass Bitchen!!!

  • Tohle je pravej BIG BEAT !!!

(Nikdy jsem si nehrál na rockera, ale BIGBÍŤÁK jsem odjakživa!!!) BIG BEAR

  • groovy 60s surf rock is the best

  • I like the way this vid was produced: a walk through their various hits, instead of the usual static shot of the record label. Good job! Keeps it moving.

  • Wow nice to hear again thanks

  • Nice and tight.

  • Great number! Their place as one of the first modern rock instrumental combos remains unchallenged. Dual lead/rhythm not found in Eddie or Wray (their sounds did not need it) became the standard. And this is one I clearly remember. Hard to believe it's been essentially 50 years. Still moves me.

  • Does anyone know where i could get tabs to some of their songs....especially 'El Ringo' ??? I cant figure stuff out by ear to well :( and ive been trying for months!

  • Actually, no, "Bulldog" entered the charts on 1/11/1960 while "Stick Shift" entered on 9/11/1961...20 months later.

  • Sorry I am looking at the original right now & the copyright indicates 1959, the fireballs first "torquay" was 1958 & bulldog was released 1 year later ... hence 1959 .

You are speaking of charts, i am speaking of issue dates...'nuff said, it is not an issue.

  • Speaking of "Stick Shift", I have an original copy of it. Some writing on the label, but still plays as well as a 45 could.

  • @bobo6866 That would be by The Duals around 1958 (if memory serves).

  • Did the Fireballs ever sue the Duals for copying this tune on "Stick Shift"?

  • @vinylsingleman How would they sue them? This isnt a not-for-note copy.

  • @Building529 True, but that didn't stop the composers of "He's So Fine" from suing George Harrison over "My Sweet Lord". It doesn't have to be note for note to make an infringement claim. I'm not saying they should, just that the similarity is strong.

  • This is GREAT. But I was looking for the Shangri Las song. Oh, well. This is wonderful, anyway. Greetings from France.

  • Wow! My "buddies" and I had to play this tune 6 million times. The Fireballs could jam. I loved their songs.

  • fun

  • Nice. I only knew the Ventures version. From Live in Japan '65! :o)#
