@PvtBl4ckburn yup, only works on certain rubber compounds though, drag radials slicks, etc. Street tires it does nothing. They usually have a small water puddle to do the burnout in also cause it heats up the rubber but doesn't strip too much of it off the tires

Vehicles with drag radials or slicks put their rear tires in the waterbox, spin them quick in the waterbox and then pull forward (out of it) to do their burnout. The waterbox is for cleaning the tires --- the burnout on dry pavement cleans them and heats them up. After the waterbox and about 5-7 seconds of smoke, you're good to go!

@WikedBiPola You know why don't you? The 4.0 is the identical engine that's in the mustang v6. Thats why they rev so high. For a small truck, 0-60 in 7 seconds stock isn't bad (mines a manual) I know the autos rev to 5,500 rpms before changing gears.
That's an older pushrod 4.0L. Them things were slow as S**T from the factory and barely had a step on the 3.0L's. That ranger was modded for sure besides the nitrous! Perhaps an RPS ride? The newer 4.0L SOHC is pretty bad ass, and has EASY potential to be a heck of a sleeper. I had an 04 with >>ONLY<< bolt-ons and rear end upgrades. 210.0WHP 239.6trq, 14:87@91.55. Kill list included a 2006 5spd Eclipse 3.8L(260HP factory claims).
That Ranger is not all that quick. He simply had a better launch. The Mustang had a higher trap speed by 5mph! By the way, Nos (Nitrous Oxide Systems) is one of many companies that produces nitrous kits, only the ignorant uses the term Nos when referring to nitrous, how do you know he is not using NEX or Nitrous Express????
the only cool thing about using nos is when they purge the lines and you see the spray..other than that its a cheap way to go fast...you can put nos on anything and have decent times
90's 5.0 Might have been under 200 hp. the Newer 4.0 V6's put out over 200 HP. When it comes down to it, it's all got to do with luck, skill, and preformance. Hooah
