The 2002 was the epitome of a sports car. Light, RWD, powerful for it's size and time, no frills or anything unnecessary. Just a plain, practical sports car. The 1 series, like all new BMWs sold in the US, is an overweight, overloaded with crap (power everything) luxury car that only offers six cylinder engines, you can't even get a proper four cylinder. Most of them will also be sold with automatic transmissions, an automatic disqualifier for the sports car category.
Pretty cool man, I like the way you did this. I have a 76 2002, dono about the 1 series though, they can claim it is all back to the roots but seems like all they did was make it light and slap a tii badge on it! Tobria the artist is Amon Tobin.

And i may be all about the newer BMWs, but the 2002 is one im pretty sure would be a must have for me. i would have 2- a completely original one, and one i would slap the N54 (135i/335i/535i etc...) engine in. of course im talking about in my dreams when i have more money than i know what to do with, but you get my point.
I'm somewhat offended when people compare the 1 series to the 2002.
